Gerbe is a great guy. Seems like a great teammate. Plays with a lot of determination. It's hard not to root for the lil' guy. But he's had his kick at the can. It didn't really work out. Ruff gave him a lot of playing time lately. Rolston could give him more, but not much. He could put him with better linemates consistently, sure. But he can't put the puck in the net for him.

Ill say this in baseball ive had coaches who ive hated and who have hated me. YOu play your way out of the situation.

You mean his combined 36 turnovers in 126 games the last 2 seasons? While getting ice time with greats like Gaustad, Kaleta, Mancari, McCormick...sure, that's all he's known for.

I'd think he is your kind of man, goes out there and throws his body around a little bit, not afraid to block shots, more offensive skill than Kaleta, playing through a surgically repaired back, great PK player going back to college at least.... Just your kind of player hubie.

It's not 100% accurate but it's not a crap stat IMO

he's all hustle, for sure but it has only translated in the NHL for 2 hot streaks in the same season. a 10 game stint followed by a 16 game stint. he's sucked before and after his back issues.

Giveaways and takeaways are subjective stats. On a change of possession, it can only be one or the other. Either the guy coughed up the puck or someone else took it away. It can't be both. So what you see as a giveaway, the statistician might see a takeaway. Or he doesn't have to give credit to either player. They are garbage stats

He needs to be on a team that has a 4th line of faster players that just forecheck hard and create havoc for 9 min a game and he will net 8-10 goals a year.

only thing that matters is winning, not only cant he win but hes never made himself stick in the lineup at any tiem you could sit him
