Trust me it could be worse. Neither Peckham or Fistric know what a puck is.
The bright side is if they aren't playing well, they'll hit guys. - Lahey
That's what I'm thinking it could be chaos when they are on the ice together.
Parise tries to go one side Fistric hits him, then he tries the other side and BBC hits him......lol could be a nice pairing as long as the forwards come back for the puck.....lol. |

It's a nice pairing until they get caught out of position. I'm hoping that doesn't happen though. |

Yeah that's where the forwards have to realise who is playing behind them and be a touch more conservative maybe. The front of the net could be a disaster zone for either Dubey or Khabi.....lol. |

In all fairness Smyth wasn't suppose to be this bad. He should've been a vet that could help the club in a bigger capacity then this.
Never did like the 2 year deal, but bringing Smyth back was needed. What the hell would've happened if the guys that stepped up this year didn't?
No shame in bringing in a vet to force the kids to earn the spot. |

Still think we win tonight... wonder how long until the wild pick up ruff to be their coach? |

The problem with that is our forwards haven't realized that very often this year. Going to need Pecker and Fister on when line 3 or 4 is on, because if they are on when the Kid line is out, I could foresee a five on nothing occuring. |

Does that mean our 3rd pairing is BBC and Fistric.
That could be very interesting. - longbottom
Is he actually BBC or is that a sterotype?
Funny enough though Billy Ranford's nickname was tripod. True story. He has a BWC! |

According to him he probably loss.
Either way, I think he is done this year. Probably gets a job within the organization. Heck even with the Oil Kings teaching the kids what it takes to have poop for talent, but to play 1000+ NHL games. |

1. Jay Bouwmeester, D, Calgary - Would help. Sure.
2. Ryan O'Reilly, C, Colorado - Would help. Definitely yes, but we don't have much of what Colorado wants.
3. Jeff Schultz, D, Washington - Meh, lateral move.
4. Marcel Goc, C, Florida - Yes please.
5. Jack Johnson, D, Columbus - He's like Bouwmeester in that he was drafted really high. Puts up some points and skates well, hits sometimes. Not good at defense. No.
6. Mark McNeill, C, Chicago - Would like, but he doesn't help us much in the short term.
7. Nino Niederreitter, F, New York Islanders - Not much of an improvement over Paajarvi or Hartikainen. Still young enough, but a wild card.
8. Zemgus Girgensons, C, Buffalo - See McNeill.
9. Chris Kreider, LW, New York - See Niederreiter. Probably better, but still doesn't improve us much now.
10. Chris Stewart, F, St. Louis - Would be nice, but I don't know if it's worth adding him at the expense of one our top four defensemen. |

Thing with the Wild is they are dominate at home. They just suck on the road.
Although who knows expectations are high there. |

Hell he was doing that during the Lock-out I could see him as one of the teaching coaches. |

Their farm team was dominating OKC during the lockout so my hopes are not exceptionally high.

Was teaching the NHLers before being benched how to tip shots.
Could be a guy that teaches our clubs how to play in front of the net.
Has two teams to work with in Edmonton, and then when his wife is on the rag it's road trip to OKC. |

Could end up in a job similar to that of Sillinger or Carriere. |

Buyouts
To start the year my opinion was we probably weren't buying Horc out, unless we needed cap space or if he played good awful. So far I bring him back as I don't think Katz wants to waste the money on a buyout.
I had other guys on the hot seat, Belanger, Potter, Eager.
Those guys are smaller end guys that really don't mean much either way, but if they sucked and were beat by kids there was a chance we simply bought them out.
Right now Belanger has a job or is tradeable. Eager continues to play the way he did and you won't have to buy him out, someone would want him via trade.
Potter, if still around you buy him out.
I also had Dubnyk as a longshot. Reasoning was if we got Lou or someone else or if Dubnyk completely poops the bed then you might buy him out. It was huge longshot, but a very unlikely one.
Finally Smyth, I can't remember what I said on him but I don't think we buy him out regardless. I think he either finds his game and is back, or is forced into retirement. If cap space is an issue with Smyth on the books you trade him to Long Island like Thomas. |
