Although, it is really nice not having a home team ref. There are times it would be nice to have one just for a buffer when Clouts writes an especially trollish blog. As we can't even reply to Esplen/Dumasskiss troll blogs w/o being banned.

Come on. jTommy is a pretty fair ref, he has only banned a couple of people only for 24 hours.

Colin is a pretty solid righter ( that's for you Oil Tycoon) and doesn't write sh!t just for the sake of it.

He is also well respected amongst the Flames brethren on HB, so massive difference between him and Clouts...... but, Clouts kills it with hits and responses and at the end of the day, that is really his job isn't it?

Dumbrakasassais is not that good of a "WRITER". Obviously he and some of you flames fans are overly sensitive and need a ref. Clout's may be a troll blogger, but at least he doesn't need a ref in the forums to stick up for him cause he cannot handle criticism like Esplen and Dumbrakaajakassasis

Depends on how you mean small?
Gags at 5'11 will drop the gloves, needs to get stronger on the puck and a better FO%.
Hemsky at 6' will go into the dirty areas even to his detriment.
Yaks at 5'11 is what 3rd in forwards in hits on the team as a rookie.
Maybe just maybe all we need is to rotate Eager, Jones and either Yaks and or Hemsky depending on the situation. and a little puck luck.

Right, it is perfectly reasonable to write a blog bashing the way Edmonton chose to rebuild defending his own, make several false claims and wrong assumptions about how things are done and 2nd or 3rd post in Jtommy is telling us to watch what we say or we are going to be banned. So we would get banned simply for calling him out on his mistakes. At least we can call our troll out for who he is. This is your idea of respectable? Colin makes me think of Pacioretty from MTL.

The Flames ref gets a backing from Lahey, and he won't pull punches on stuff like that. So I give the guy some lee-way...

But to come into a comment section and "Lay the Law", then a few ages later when a Flame poster crosses at least two CoC violations with no reprimand? makes me wonder.

Even after a while micah would have to pull the plug on Canuck posters when I would point them out.

If the ref comes in and gives the warning...whether you are a team fan or not you should get a timeout...

Guys like esplen and dumbrakakaasuckiss do exactly like what eh49314 said, they bash teams in their own blogs with subjective homer writing based solely on their blind love of their own teams, then have refs in the forums so they can go on a power trip and ban people who speak against them. Just like you said, they rarely ban their own. Meh, 42 years of failure and I would be pretty sensitive too.... not sure what the Flames bloggers excuse is, they won a cup in 89....oh wait, kid's probably under 25 and wasn't born yet or doesn't remember it. Makes sense now.

WTH is with all the afternoon games this year? Saturdays game against Phoenix is at 130 pm.
The saturday before was what 2pm and before that against Colorado 11am.
They used to suck during those early games, this year about the same.
