I don't think that effort and intensity is the issue and why they're down in the game. The game as a whole lacks the same feel. The Flyers are just playing poor Hockey.

Don't look interested at all. Terrible game tonight all around.

Actually, there's a rumor that Nash has a concussion
- Jsaquella

My heart breaks for them. I figured Callahan was headed for shoulder surgery, he missed two games.

More likely because Read is now out for 6 weeks vs based off 1 game.

God only knows with Ed Snider & Holmgren. Just lost our leading goal scorer for 6 weeks and they can seem to string together 3 good performances.

I definitely think intensity is an issue tonight.

They're getting chances - not because the intensity is there - but because they're playing a lesser talented team.

When good teams play like dogpoop, they still usually beat the worst team in the League.
- PLindbergh31

Not always. Good teams lose to bad teams every year. No team in the NHL is that bad where you can expect to win if you don't play well enough to win.

We'll have to agree to disagree then. You don't get chances just because a team is less talented.

I think they will evaluate the team with Hartnell and Mez back before making a move.

And the NHL has a great equalizer. A poor team can get a goaltender standing on his head like Clemmensen is doing tonight. Florida is a very poor team, who also has their fair share of injuries. There is no excuse for this type of performance.

Can't keep losing to bottom feeder teams and expect to make the playoffs.

Clemmensen has done this before to the Flyers several times where he has looked like the greatest goalie in the league.

no, but they're easier to come by ... which is what's happening.

It's not that we're that intense. We're just playing a weaker opponent.

There's a lot of things that could be pointed to. Losing Jagr's experience and leadership was an issue. Not adequately replacing Carle's ability as a puck mover is an issue.

Then to start the season, they had a lot of execution issues, along with a couple injuries. By the 5th game, they had lost Hartnell and Meszaros. and now Read.

The biggest issue has really been consistency. They play a fantastic team game one night, fall apart the next. There's a lot of youth fighting it, but the veterans have been very up and down, too.

yeah, he has good positioning. He's a big guy and just keeps himself square to the shooter.
