I wish it was just a letdown game, they're killing themselves with mistakes and dumb play.
- Jsaquella

First game home after a long road trip and then after the Pens freak show last night they were due for a letdown, but I agree they had good jump and legs, just made a bunch of bad decisions that all led to goals.

Weird decision to go with Bryz tonight.

knowing an emotional letdown was a possibility maybe starting Boosh was a better choice?
- FlyerGuy

I don't see an emotional letdown as the issue.

How many times has he tried to go for the poke check and completely whiff?
- MJL

A good amount. He really has no chance at stopping any breakaways.

Just for fun, but Bryzgalov looks different than he did to start the season.

That dominance isn't there.

I know the coverage is brutal, but I dont know if fatigue is a factor here.

The double cock punch. The Read news, then an absolutely embarrassing period against the worst team in the sport.

Zero to do with just wanting to disagree. Flyers had jump and played with effort in that period. It was bad defensive coverages and turnovers.

It could be. He's not as sharp obviously. Team doesn't have a legit backup to plug in. With the way they have started the season there is no margin for error. Have to ride Bryz.

Those defensive coverage issues are huge.

I dont know if that is experience, coaching or voodoo but something needs to be fixed.

Just not enough discipline. Discipline isn't all just about taking penalties. It's also about doing the right things under all situations. They can't get consistent because when they do get a few wins, they get away from doing the right things that got them those wins. Fortunately for the long term, I think that's a problem that will be overcome as players mature.

I kind of dont get the fear with going with Boucher. I know he isn't an all star, but he has shown ability to be a solid goaltender for stretches.

If the team cannot win a few games with a back-up, or Bryz not having his A game they aren't good enough in the first place.

You follow the Flyers farm clubs closely, do they have the same ridiculous injury issues?

I'd imagine they do, but they are a bit more swift when giving out punishment to a player that causes an injury.

I seem to remember Bryz saying he wanted a heavier workload than last year, in order to stay sharp.

Don't know if that's the reason ...

EDIT: damn, Coots is WAY off.
