It was the Adams elbow call if the one you are referring to. Yes it was horrific.

I didnt care for that call, it was bad. I guess I could live with it a little better if the multiple crosscheck sequence Couturier gave to Malkin was called. I honestly think that they let that go only in a Pens/Flyers game. If that was Travis Zajac for example on Malkin, the call gets made.

Its no secret to me the league loves these bat sh*t crazy Pens/Flyers games and the refs call them accordingly both ways.

I was yelling at Malkin for going after him after he was getting the call. Then I realized the original call was on him. I couldn't believe it. I don't blame him if someone was using their stick like that on me I'd do the samething. Wish he would have dropped his gloves and decked the kid maybe he would learn for next time.

After letting the L last night sink in, I really think the only thing Shero needs to look for at the trade deadline is veteran leadership that can stop the Penguins from losing their heads in games like this. When the Pens are on their game they are nearly unbeatable, but when the lose control they end up flying off the handle and cost themselves. It happended against the Islander, it happened against the Flyers. I don't know who it is, but the Penguins need someone who can calm them the $%&# down in games like this.

Yeah... you would think that with most of these guys with at least a handful of seasons under their belt (and a Cup in most cases), that they would be able to control themselves, but it's been obvious the last couple of years that they can't.

Whether it's the calming presence that Gonchar had, or the guy like Guerin who was a clown, but instantly had the respect of the room, they need to get that back.

That's why when a name like Matt Cullen comes up, on the ice, I could take him or leave him, but depending on how he is in the room, that could add a lot (I know nothing about his personality). You would think a guy like Iginla could add a presence, but whomever Shero adds to this team, what he does off the ice is probably more important than what he does on the ice.

They call the game to keep it close. Thats no different than most NHL games. Just exacerbated in these games.

The team needs a change of mind set in these games. Theres no control. Just treat it as a regular season game

The problem is, it happens all the time across the league, but the refs are inconsistent. If I'm not mistaken, Letang was called for it earlier in the night and Couturier was not. It's the main thing that drives me nuts. Just call the game with consistency.

Although, I agree with a couple of earlier posts...this game was officiated pretty well. I don't think there's anything either side can really say was a horrible call (or missed call)....like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4Yoyl66j94 or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDXf_2Ct54o
