Here is a reasonable explanation.......It's a Pen's blog - cap1681
a Pens blog ... but a little out of character for John, no? Kind of caught me by surprise.
On the other hand, maybe hockeybuzz needs a new Sam Woo and JT is auditioning.

Well said. And no Pens fan seems to have a reasonable explanation for why the subplots are completely one-sided in the blog or why it's seemingly acceptable for JT to throw stones in his glass house. - shonoff95
Seriously...stones and glass houses?
If you don't know by now that the Pens do everything right and the Flyers do everything wrong then there's a whole lot of catching up you need to do.
The good part is that unless you are a completely disrespectful idiot...the moderators on the Pens blog will let you have your say.
Wish the same could be said for the moderators on the Flyer's blogs. |

5-2 Penguins tonight. Malkin/Neal with a big night and Giroux sulking (calling his mum) about how his wrists haven't been the same and he can't score anymore. - Orpik44
On a serious note... the world would never hear the end of it if a Flyers player's slashes to the wrists of Crosby resulted in bilateral wrist surgery.
Hell, we still hear about his chiclets getting knocked out.
I think its going to be a very entertaining game, but would be lying if I said I had a feeling about a winner/score.
Good luck |

In regards to the game, I don't think anyone has anything in sight but a good game. Hopefully that's what we see. Simple. Professional. Hockey. In regards to anything else on this thread, no comment.....for now....maybe. |

All players do. Crosby's reputation is derived from his early year where (even according to his teammate at the time) he did whine more than usual, mostly because players were taking liberties with him because of his skill, and he wasn't used to the physical toll of NHL players doing that. He's actually much better now. |

Crosby used to be bad.. now he is no different than any player. I just think its his facial expression that drives people nuts. Or the fact that he routinely destroys teams. |

We're not all mindless "he not hit, he no good; he whine, he baby" drones. And we didn't all throw snowballs at Santa Claus, contrary to popular belief. Does Crosby whine and dive? Yes. Do most players? Yes. Would I do the same if I knew my team was going to benefit from it? Yes. Do people have a right to get angry if they feel a marquee player overdoes it? Yes. Couple that with his early reputation, and that's where he gets his bad image. He's really not much worse that a lot of players, but when you have the spotlight on you, everything is magnified. |

Hey Im not complaining at all. poop happens in games. If anything, this generation of players are lucky.. they are protected by shiny equipment and fancy rules. |

It's absolutely his facial expressions, as crazy as that sounds. He just has that constant pout that irritates people.
well, that and he's the best player in the game. If he was a 4th line scrub no one would care.

Crosby 40 games played against the Flyers 66 pts I'd hate him too. Malkin 40 games played 53 pts. Giroux 20 games played against the Pens 16 pts. One of these things is not like the others. |

Only 1 of the players isn't Canadian?
Only 1 can grow a proper playoff beard?
Only 1 has never scored a playoff hat trick (I think)?

I think a lot has to do too with the fact that there is a closeup of him after every whistle as well. I mean, a player can get a penalty 60 feet from him, and going into the commercial, is a close up of Crosby's reaction, not the offending player or "victim" of the penalty.

I would. Matt Barnaby has annoying facial expressions as well.. I wanted to beat him with a ball-peen about a dozen or so times. |

That's a fair comment. Crosby did complain a lot when he was younger. Then again he was only 18. Since then he has matured. The same can't be said about the usual Cindy or Crysby responses by children like the pathetic Leaf fan who showed once again that his knowledge of hockey is non-existant.
Crosby did earn that reputation earlier in his career but people who can't see that he has changed are clearly just bias like always. |
