JVR, Bozak, Kessel
Lupul, ROR, Brower
Frattin, Kadri, Komorov/MacArthur
Brown, Mclement, Orr/McLaren

Phaneuf - Gunnerson

i saw earlier someone was trying to say they arent scoring enough lol.. they are 7th overall league wide ffs.

so they had a flat game on the second game of a back to back while on the road.. not like that has ever happened to a team before

Sucky game last night, but expected.
We just need to win 3 in a row again to get back on track

Still O'rielly talk ...I would be all for getting him, as long as we keep, Gardiner, Rielly, Kadri, 1st's.

My dream would be trading for ROR, signing Getzlaf.
Have Getz, ROR and Bozak as our top 3 centers

Move Grabo, Liles, Komi to free up space

I just mean cap space... I think we could get a late 1st for Kuli. If its much less.. I would keep him, his cap hit is decent

It's weird but I have been keeping a mental note on this, the Leafs get a discrepancy in calls when they play Carolina, Florida and Tampa over the years, especially in Carolina.

Also, there were a lot of miss calls, usually I say to both teams and I never harp on the refs here, but last night it was Toronto getting the shaft, Kessel was tripped twice during one PP, no call, Brown got very cheap call on holding, yet there was an even worse holding by Hedman that wasn't called on the same type of play in the Tampa end. On Tampa's second goal Holzer was hit from behind along the boards. There were numerous non calls against the Bolts last night.

Also, we keep saying Grabovski gotta score more, has anyone notice that every time he scores the Leafs first goal they lose? lol.

Too many games are being played in a short span has hurt the product on the ice, just about every game played last night was a stinker and for the most part boring and sloppy.

Edit: from a friend who posted this elsewhere:

What is absolutely amazing is that there was no penalty coming to Hedman for the cross check on Kadri that started that entire incident. The ref had his arm up before the punches started flying, but the only penalties that were called were the fighting majors and one on Orr. What happened to the one he was calling before that?

Lou you couldnt be more right, i was saying to my buddy that the refs were being quite kind to the Lightening, a NUMBER of missed calls, what was it 7-2 in pp's? no wonder Tampa wins games at home, that was brutal...

and we hit the post so much, drives me nuts!

Kadri was a beauty last night, and yes, i find Tbay ICE is one of the worst, so soft, bouncing puck all night...

no trades unless we can make a move that improves our top 9. obviously having Orr on third line is making our depth worse, but hes been ok out there, but ...lets be serious, he is no third liner.

win lose or draw ive been saying all season if we could imrpove a winger for the 2nd line that would be great. id move a D man, a prospect and say macarthur or kulemin for a better winger for grabovski.

that way when Lupul comes back we can have 2 power lines and keep our third line in tact..

who to get, i dont know, but

Lupul-Bozak-Kessel
JVR-Gbov-upgrade over kule/mac
frattin-kadri-kule/mac
brown/orr-mcclement-komarov

thats my thoughts...what D to trade? i dunno, we have a lot.

I like to throw trade ideas out there so im not going to jump on this one too hard. But a couple things.

I think we can get more for Kulemin going to Pitts. Not because Kulemin is amazing, but because everyone knows he has chemistry with Malkin so they obviously want him.

trade Grabo to Wash for Troy Brower. I dont get this one at all. Brower has never gotten more then 40 points and you dont have him in the lineup. I would think we could get a better return for a proven #2 Center.

I would prefer not trading Biggs, but only because I want to see what he can do in the AHL next year. Want to keep those cupboards stocked

Exactly...Hedman crosschecked him minimum 2 times the 2nd one crushed him from behind..that's when Kadri tried to crosscheck his chicklets out...I wished he wouldnt have missed...to cheap shots in the back...I would have just McSorlely'd him!!!!!!

I can't figure out if Grabo is the problem ....or if the problem is that he's stuck playing with Komarov and Kulemin who can't get anything offensive going. They're checking fine ...but no offensive chemistry at all. Maybe Lupul gets some shifts with that line when he's back.

he takes most of his draws in the defensive zone and it is constantly given shadowing roles.

that line isnt being used to generate offense.. quite the opposite actually.

Yeah, maybe you should watch it again.
Hedman crosschecked him, Kadri got up and slashed, Hedman slashed, Kadri crosschecked... Them Kadri threw cheapshots at Hedman when Hedman was tied up with MacArthur.

I'm sure all 30 teams are "talking" trade. It's not about blowing poop up ...but I'd hope they realize they need to get better. If I'm Nonis I'm content to be patient but I'm also snooping around trying to find a way to improve the team down the middle.

complete speculation, but I think he really liked playing in the KHL, and just doesn't seem to have the same drive this year. He was often playing with Datsyuk, so Kuli and Komarov/mcclement might be a bit disappointing after that.

Also, most players seem to have a bit of a let down season once they sign their new big contract.
