the phili vs pit games is not bad.
they'll need more room in both penalty boxes to hold half the team.

Nashville/Detroit is pretty underrated - AdamFrench
One playoff series and Toronto/Montreal would be biggest amongst fans |

Oh so Kadri is a 70+ point guy (never once done it, career high 14 points) but O'Reilly is just a one year wonder.
Right. - Two_For_Truth
Kadri won't cost us minimum two valuable pieces... we have him already... that is the difference. |

Because Liles fills a need they have on defense and because Liles is more proven than O'Reilly. The problem the Avalanche have with giving O'Reilly that contract is because it's only his second contract, they are expecting to keep him for the same money they have Duchene signed for which is 3.5 million. You also forget that the Leafs can hold 1 million dollars of Liles salary meaning the Avalanche would pay him 2.875 (not 4 million like you say) and the cap hit could stay the same which they need to reach the cap floor anyway. - Two_For_Truth
The whole Colorado needs to reach the cap floor thing seems like the cool thing to say these days.
Has anyone actually looked into it? I could've sworn they already had around 50 mil committed to next season. Definitely not taking the time to look it up on my phone.. But off the top of my head, I think this whole them going to be desperate to reach the floor thing is a bit of a stretch. |

|
I will ask again why would they pay liles 4 million if they will not pay O'Reilly 4.5 million - jribout
Again even Liles who is crap will not cost us a top prospect or roster player.. and a 1st rounder...
that is the difference.. and if the Avs would do Liles and two second rounders I would do that deal now...
but they won't.

That wussy Regier should've been poopcanned himself.
It started in the days when drury and briere were able to walk away from the franchise for nothing.. Right up to the leino, erhoff contracts.
The man has slowly been pile driving the franchise for years. |

May come out hungry |

Liles I would trade for a bucket of paint if anyone would have him.

He's actually not done terrible as GM.
Myers has let everyone down.
Ennis hasn't lived up to potential either
But he got Hodgson for a good price |

Ya would be interesting. They've been living off of that first line, will a new direction affect them? And can he get literally errybody else going...or at least shut Miller the (frank) up in front of the media. |

I think the negatives have outweighed the positives. Quietly, I might add.
The Hodgson move is really the only strong move I've seen aside from some decent drafting (which really isn't his credit). The Hodgson move looks good, but the jury is definitely still out. |

The only guy that should be sent down is holzer. Kostka and Fraser have been playing pretty decent. - Mapleleafs_91
Fraser is +13... one of the leaders in the NHL.. Franson is now a +11...
They deserve their spots.

Yeah, Myers has been disappointing since that unreal rookie season. |

Take a look at their wins and you'll notice 3 is the magic number. 3 GF, and less than 3 GA.
Stop trying to build a mountain out of a mole hill just because they had no jump in a back to back game against a well rested team with arguably the best player in the NHL right now. - Pen15
I like how you're an actual Leaf fan and not a closet Sens fan who is too passive to actually hate the Leafs so therefore posts on boards about how awful it is that we've won eight of ten games.

I've been talking about Franson all season.
He's calm in our own zone, makes a decent 1st pass, hits like a big guy(apparently people were saying he's soft, well haters are going to hate), gets shots on net and makes offensive pinches. If he keeps it up and stays away from stupid penalties and overall dumbassary he should be a great 2nd pairing dman. |
