We have too many veteran players who are stale. Regehr, Leo, Jochen. - Dwight K. Schrute
That one dive he did by the Jets blue line to avoid a hit I think I had a mini stroke while watching that.
Jochen and his million dollar contract needs to go poof.
He is prime example #1 of what ails this team. |

Exactly. I'd trade him in a deal to get ROR or Perry. Not Iginla though as Garth suggested. - Pierceme69
Why??? If Ruff is still here what is the point? Pominville is coming off a 70 pt All-Star season, how is ROR close to the player Pominville is right now? |

Translation: If Lindy and Darcy ain't goin' anywhere, then maybe it's time to train the laser beam on the forehead of the captain of the team. Maybe its time for Pominville to be traded. He is a valuable offensive player and is a former All Star. He plays PP and PK, and thrives 5 on 5. I'm not so sure he's cut out to be the captain. Is he in the same class as Toews, Crosby, Getzlaf, Giroux?
This is from Garths blog. I called it last night on here that they would start talking about trading Pominville instead of just firing Ruff. It's like having a bad engine in a car, and attempting to fix it by changing the brakes and tires. The real problem will always exist until you get a new engine - sbroads24
oh. once in a while i accidentally open his blog but i never accidentally read it so thats where i am amiss. |

he really isnt. he was a good signing for what they needed. someone who could easily be a healthy scratch and a 4th line center/winger when someone with muscle isnt needed. and even steady enough to play the 3rd with injuries
its not hecht's fault the coach uses him like he does. |

Since I was 8 years old.
Lets just say a long time fan.
Same results as our Buffalo teams though.
- TerryPegs
yep since I was 7........looked at the standings in '89 and picked the tribe because they had the worst record in the league.
As i got older I found out how close Cleveland is to Buffalo so I started going to games every summer with my dad. It was awesome too when the Bisons were their farm team.
Cleveland is basically Buffalo's older brother......great town.
My wife and I have a summer ritual now of going to Great Lakes Brewing before a tribe game. Good times
Im excited for the season to start |

I'm not one to defend Miller, but hes been pretty good so far this season, and is by far not the problem. He seems to be the only one in a leadership position on this team who shows any kind of passion to win. - Rally_Shots
Pretty good? Highest GA in the league - 45th in GAA - 28th in S%. Stellar numbers. |

For one ROR is a center, which we desperately need on this team. We never addressed our lack of center depth outside of the draft and Grigs is getting wasted on a nightly basis either in the press box or getting 10 minutes of ice time. Secondly ROR is 9 years younger than Pominville. I understand people being attached to Pommer, and he has been a pretty good player here, but after next year he will be a free agent anyway. Will you want to resign a 32-year-old Pommer for $6 million a season? I wouldn't. |

Another baseball fan ruined by TBS - RynoBull
Not quite, My friends grandma was a huge Braves Friend when I was young. Though it was a plus. Loved Chipper. I wore number 10 all my years playing 3rd base.
Upton, Upton, Heyward outfield. That is going to amazing to watch. Pitching is solid (starting and relief) Kimbrle, Huddy, Minor, Venters, Beachey(hopefully returning to form)
Though losing Prado did suck. 3rd base is the only real weakness on the team.*
*Hopefully McCann can return to his all star form after the injury |

If anyone was Colorado would you take Pommer? Absolutely not. For ROR they will get way more than a pommer |

I would move Ennis off the dot in lieu of ROR. He is noit a center. his 42% faceoff percentage is really hurting us. ROR won about 53% of his draws last year. I'd move Ennis up with Vanek and Hodson. That would be a crazy dangerous line. ROR with Foligno and (puke) Stafford. Hecht back to the wing on the 4th line. |

I disagree.
Hecht like many others on this team will not go that extra stride of ice to make that play.
Watch that game back and watch Hecht's play while gaining the Jets blueline. He sees a Jet coming at him and dives away from a hit to make a play and leaves the puck there for it to be turned back the other way.
He is done! I'd start by waiving him and Gerbe.
Pardy and Porter should be up with this team. Yet another fialure of Ruff. |

Well he doesn't do it by himself of course. They want an offensive D man and a draft pick/prospect also as has been reported. |

He also has faced the most shots in the league and is tied for GP amongst goalies.
in stats where goalies have played at least 5 games he his middle of pack in GAA and SV%
Just for example he is 15th in SV% with goalies with at least 5 games played and 5 of those ahead of him have played in under 10 games. Miller has 15.
Millers numbers this year are about .3 higher in GAA and SV% is dead on to his carrer stats.

Not sure if anyone heard the presser after that miserable game. But on the way home picked up Lindy pretyt much saying players will be moved. Kinda sensed that fire sale is a coming. - hubie
Meh I dunno firesales usually happen in the off-season. I expect them to make a major move (good or bad) at the deadline. |

Yep. Their hitting will be improved but their starting pitching needs to come through for them to have any prayer this year.
Masterson/Jimenez have to come through.
I still like Huff but I am not sure he will even make the opening day roster. |

If you really would give up Pominville+ for O'Reilly than this kid has become more over rated than I could have ever imagined. He's done nothing in his career to demand the best player on our team for the most part. |
