I agree. He's not going to be able to get out of his funk playing with John Scott and Cody McCormick. Though at times tonight that was the only line that was getting offensive zone pressure.

I thought Stafford played his best shift on that line too. He looked like he was trying hard either because he knew he was the only one with any talent on his line or because he wanted to get off of it. And then he played back up on the 2nd line and was a total fail as usual.

no, i hate the idea of no salary cap in any sport. you should build good teams by drafting well and acquiring key and specific pieces through trades. not by throwing money at whatever "1A" talent hits the market.

yeah, i love the salary cap. if i had absolute power over the nhl i'd raise the floor and lower the ceiling and push the revenue sharing through the roof as long as a majority of the revenue went back into the nhl, whether its through building hockey in communities, building new bigger arenas, or simply allowing for cheaper tickets/beer/food at the games.

some areas are just always going to have a better opportunity for revenue. i dont think anyone thinks pheonix is ever ever ever going to have the kind of market the rangers have. but we have a better league if the pheonix's are just as strong from an organizational standpoint as the rangers.

obviously i wouldn't be very popular among the owners.

How does a coach not get fired? It should have been a year or two before this just based on what the hell let's try something here.

The '09-10 season was sort of an anamoly. Miller was on antler spray and was out of his head out there all jacked up for the Olympics. Then the rest of our division decided it didn't want to play. We'd drop two in a row in March, Boston, Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal would post a combined 1-5-2 record over than span. The just didn't want it.
