OK lets not make any moves anywhere and miss the playoffs another time.
Weve gotten a few throw ins in trades that have worked out pretty well for us. |

Its time for Terry to talk
http://blogs.buffalonews....-terry-to-talk-today.html
"The fan base is in an uproar. They feel like suckers taken for a ride on tickets, merchandise, concessions and parking. Believe me, I didn't take it lightly asking Lindy Ruff for his thoughts last night about the fan base clearly hating this team. And I chose the word intentionally. (For those of you tweeting at me that you don't hate this team, I submit that you haven't been in the building this year to hear what's become the league's most dreadful home-ice "advantage")" - Buffalo--Sabres
It's a valid article but nothing will happen. Pegula has become more and more removed from the media and he's not going to throw Lindy/Darcy under the bus after backing them.
We'll just miss the post season - draft around 10th as usual - aquire some peripheral player at 5:34pm in free agency after all the good ones have been taken - then hype the fanbase up with talk of turning things around. Your 2013/14 Deja vu Sabres. |

I honestly almost dont care what they do. As long as they keep Foligno, Vanek and Hodgson I won't abandon the team 100%. |

All depends. What is this teams plan? I'm getting frustrated at this ROR talk, now all of the sudden it's Pominville that needs to be traded for him? Pominville might be the only 1 of the 3 of Vanek Miller and JP that possibly would resign. I'm sure not signing Vanek for 7+ mil a season after nest year - sbroads24
The bottom line is this team isn't good right now with Pominville. He will be 32 and command somewhere around $6 million in his next contract. ROR is 22 and would seriously help our center depth. Will he be a superstar? Maybe, maybe not. But you have to give to get. Pominville is a good player and I'm not talking about trading him to scapegoat him. He just happens to be one of our most tradeable assets, in my opinion. |

People don't understand that. They are the same people that assume McNabb is a top 4 defenseman already |

No let's make moves to make the team better, like firing the coach, before you go trade your captain for a kid who is demanding 5+ mil a year. |

I think if you're going to trade Pomminville, you can get a lot more than negotiating rights for ROR. The kid isn't even signed yet. If traded to the Sabres, what makes everyone think he is guaranteed to sign? Send him an offer sheet for around $4-4.5m and see if he goes for it. If he does good and you're not giving up too much. If the Avs match, good for them, they get him for less then he was asking for. If he doesn't sign it, then he probably wouldn't sign for $5m in Buffalo either. Only downside I see is that we are probably going to have a pretty good pick this year. |

For the record. If you trade JP right now, I bet you could get a ton for him, part of you're return you could use to try to snag O"Reilly |
