It's the coach. He's been here 15 years and won absolutely nothing. It's time to move on. That's not to say that he won't be successful somewhere else or that he's just a bad coach in general, but his time should be up here. It's time to move on and try something else.

I think we're worse without Roy. Why would you trade a center when you have no center depth for a 3rd line winger? I like Ott and his hustle and fire, but team toughness amounts to poop when you can't score or play any defense.

I think Ott only has 1 less point than Roy does this year. And he brings more to the table in other ways. He's also just as good defensively as Roy, so really, are we missing anything from Roy at this point?

I would go with Jones too. But I don't know how much he'd play with Myers. I did like the way he looked with McCabe during the Jrs. So I wouldn't hate the idea of the two of them together here.

i dont really mind sucking this year. i never really had high hopes though since pegula took over. obviously i'd like to see wins, but at some point in the nhl you have to suck and suck hard before you can get better. we've been mediocre for so long, i'm hoping sucking this hard will be a shot into the arm of the whole organization.

i always saw this team as fighting to get into the playoffs even when they are playing well, let alone playing like poop. they just dont have the players, in my opinion, to compete with some of the other powerhouses. we're not far off, but the pieces required are big holes that really drag us down. a weak blue line is one of those, and consistent depth scoring another.

I guess almost a point a game isn't good enough for you. Anyway, my point was not to disparage Ott. I like him on the team. But why trade a center when you're thin at center for a checking winger? Trading Roy is the sole reason Jochen Hecht is on the team.
