But, he's kind of right. We can't do this everytime they take a bad loss. It happens sometimes. That was a terrible, terrible effort, but the season isn't over because they lost tonight.

5-2-1 this month.

Not sure how this is mediocrity.

With the talent on this team they shouldn't be battling for 8th, right now they are choking, looks another group unable to handle the pressure and succeed in NY, total embarrassment and total failure so far 8-6-1 is just flat out fail.

I think its worth it to sacrifice a game to send a message.

I think we need to send him to get a massage and some ass. He just needs to relax.

Torts' presser might be priceless tonight...he usually just walks off no matter what the result, he was visiblky barking and just aghast at the effort...stay tuned...
- Blueshirts4ever

With that said, does anyone think Torts shelf life is nearing the end?

A team shouldnt be allowed a win if they can't muster at least
20 shots...

- BobbySchmautz[/img]

We were unlucky tonight that's all. We have the better team, I have no doubts.

I don't think anyone seriously thinks the season is over, just frustration after a bad loss. Don't know why people get upset, this blog is here to vent and talk Rangers's puck

I must say, he is playing great. I have NO problem with his contract, plays with the kids (Glachenyuk, Gallagher), kills penalties, brings some MUCH needed sand paper. He has 6pts, +7.
- Symba007

He is a decent player and you might get a good four seasons out of him but you absolutely can't sit there and tell me, with a straight face, and say that you were happy in July when they signed him for this much.

No, scoring more than the other team is winning. But this game was deplorable, from a fan's standpoint.

Nah I don't, they would have to miss the playoffs for that to even be an option IMO

8-6-1 is mediocre, they are still showing the inability to come up big when trailing, the inability to dictate the pace when needed, they let another team come into the Garden and dictate how this game was played, there is a lot to fix and no time, this season is a waste so far.

Lucky for you, it doesn't cost you anything but looking like a clown for gloating about signing a third line grinder.

It was a frustrating effort tonight. The team starts rolling a little bit, and they let a tired team play the perfect boring road game to beat them. That game was absolutely terrible hockey game.

I think you look at the team on paper, then look at the effort.. Even when they win games they're winning 2-1, 3-2.. Ect.

Im not jumping off the ledge but they have still not played a full 60 effort yet this year, thats what im waiting for and ill be able to exhale a little.

They have been listless too many times in a 15 game span.

Overall this record is average as can be and their offense is struggling just as it has since Jagr left town.

For about five seasons, they often struggle so much to score three or four goals.

Typical NY team we've seen fail for 19 years, just keep digging digging digging a bigger hole.

Wonder if you lost because you were missing Nash's great ability to put the puck in the net. Funny thing is, when he's in, the Rangers still never score. What a waste of a good D and Goalie with that 22 million dollar mistake for a top line.

Is Gaborik really making over 7 million a season? Your GM should be fired.
