cool
so why werent prust, feds and mitchell retained? - Crimsoninja
I think we have gone over not bringing back Prust to death around here.
Mitchell wanted two years and wasn't going to get it
and letting Feds go may be one of the most shortsided decisions that nobody talks about |

If the Rangers win last night and were 9-5-1, instead of 8-6-1, I wonder how much we would be talking about off-season turnover. But, ifs and buts were candy and nuts ... |

I think we are getting a little heavy into the off season turnover mostly because people from outside pointing to the Nash trade as the problem, and it's absolutely not.
He has been the best player on the team by far and we all know that |

And you base this on what? Playing 15 games so far? Above .500 mind you. With players who, granted have been under performing, are perennial performers at the top level? A coach who has more wins then any other US born coach?

I think all who follow @ScottyHockey should unfollow him. I'm all for a lil healthy chirping but he is an anonymous coward. #twittertroll

I was joking, same statement was made by someone who's a fan of a team across the river. |

I just don't get it, if Nash can probably fly out to Montreal on Friday why can't he fly out to Ottawa today? You would think it is some type of sickness. Who the frank knows. |

the Nash trade has not been the problem for the Rangers.
It's been letting Prust, Fedotenko and Mitchell go and replacing them with Halpern, Asham and Pyatt
and an extremely horrible powerplay - jimbro83

Dan Boyle might be a nice look for a right handed powerplay specialist type player. Wonder what he might cost.
Edit: On second look, his cap hit is pretty high next year. Not sure if it would work. |

I hope not. Rangers have no luck. Every time something good happens, something terrible happens to balance it out. |

I thought of Boyle earlier today to, because I know they have an abundance of defense, and the Sharks were scouting the Rangers a couple of weeks back. You get Jimbo's right hand shot for the power play, but Boyle is at $6.5 million + this year and next. I just can't see how next year works, even if the Rangers could make it work from a personnel perspective. It is unfortunate his contract doesn't expire after this year. |

I remember all those rumors in the offseason of Boyle for Gaborik. That is really the only way it works from a money standpoint. But Rangers can't do that, especially with their team struggling to score. |
