In a shortened season though, fast starts are huge. I wouldn't count them out yet. Habs can be a playoff team. They looked committed to defense this year.

Brian Boyle, 1 assist in 13 games, but I'm sure the nightlife ain't suffering, leader of a team that can't execute.

It's a good sign when you gut out games like this -- i.e., the second games of back-to-backs on the road when you have no energy. They look like a team this year that will over achieve.

They are committed to play solid defense lately but they are also healthy (except Gallagher who should be back this weekend), this is the biggest difference with last year where Markov wasn't there, Gionta was injured. New coaching staff and management brought a new attitude also, hopefully it last all season.
