KatieStrangESPN #NYR Tortorella called it one of the worst hockey games he's ever been involved in

Looks like he agrees with you Midnight

Dude, a blind man could have seen the low level of hockey on display tonight at MSG.

Honestly, the salary cap hit would have hurt a little, but I would take him right now at his salary, which is no more than a 500K overpay. The Rangers miss him. Just my opinion.

i raised my eyebrows at the 2.5 hit at first but i mean, that's slightly above league average i believe? and generally, Montreal needs to pay a bit of a premium to bring guys in, as do all Canadian teams do given the tax rates here.

TY good post. Habs needed a little jam and got it. I like Prust...now. I thought he played a solid game tonight but with some respect to his ex-mates.

I agree with Torts and Midnight. Team was lifeless tonight. The vets sucked. The youth didn't provide any energy. The only forwards that were even decent were Hagelin, Stepan, and to a lesser extent, Gaborik. Just a terrible hockey game.
- Pete V

The first two were good, disagree with Gaborik. He looked slow out there. Both teams sucked out there. The Canadiens just sucked less.

He was a true pro tonight. He didn't try to make the game bigger than it was. He just played a real solid hockey game. It actually bothered me than I thought it would to see him playing against the Rangers.

Exactly, I'm glad he didn't bring any nonsense. Lord knows the opportunity was there.

I'm already preparing myself for the letdown this organization is mustering up for us, it doesn't look like a better version of a team that was on the cusp, there aren't any good signs, we still have players hanging on for the ride, Richards and Gabby needed to step up and they look like passengers, don't care that it only our "2nd regulation loss of the month", its our 6th out of 15 games, I'm done here and hanging on b a thread with this team, see ya boys, take care.

For real though. 7.8 for 3 goals 9 assists from Nash is money well spent.

Sixth or fifth, nothing better. Very inconsistent with their effort form game to game.

Coming from one fan who took on Brian Campbell's contract and another that took Gomez's contract and gave away Ryan McDonagh. I tend to laugh at these kind of post from other team's fans.

yes but my point is more that it's way too early, even in the 48-gamer, to know what's going on.

This loss stung. I am just trying to put it in perspective.

Hope you guys have a good night.

P.S. nothing like a panthers troll to get you guys to praise the Rangers after a loss.
