As great as it would be, Perry is not coming to the Penguins. Shero isn't selling the farm for a rental who he will not be able to sign in the offseason. If Shero does trade for a winger, it will be for an under the radar, young guy with some potential, i.e. the James Neal or Chris Kunitz trade. If the Pens go after a rental, it will be for a vetrean guy.

I like Perry. But! His skating style and great hands reminds me way too much of Dany Heatley. I would fear that he is the kind of player who will have a significant decline sooner rather than later. He will get better than $50m. over 7 years. If I am Anahiem, I deal him this year even if a playoff position is secured at the deadline.
