The blues are my #2 team. But I usually do splitscreen on GC but the blues are in NBCSN so gamecenter is lame and doesn't show it

It was a great last 10 minutes/OT, but it's over now.

Seto and Kulemin aren't exactly goal scorers anymore.

Gretzky in his prime would struggle to score 20 goals on the Wild. This team is cursed.
Love Cullen, but Minny has got 3 prospects ready to go and has to get them playing up here asap. 3rd rounder??

Minn is close to the cap now. They have to make a few trades to get under the cap for next year, or let some people walk

Bouchard, Cullen and Backstrom is $13 mil of the books. Wouldn't be surprised to see Heater traded for some broken sticks or bought out

You'd think though they would try to dump Bouchard or Cullen for some picks or something.

Yeah, you would think. Can't question the job Fletch has done so far, but the FO seems to be sitting on their hands this year (along with most every other club)

Cullen isn't a fit here, so a third is overpayment for the Pens. We have more pressing needs. Now, if you say Clutterbuck, my ears are listening.

Yep. That's what we need. A character guy and hard worker whom can score a few. I'd be glad to part ways with a 3rd.

I try and tell people this. No one listens. My buddy in Minnesota basically told me that people would riot if he were traded. Return wouldn't even be onced over. People would just be p'od.

Honestly, I think Bouchard would be great on the Pens and you could get him for nothing. Would love to see what he could do on a line with Malkin or Sid.

It's true. The amount of Clutterbuck jerseys in the stands is beyond ridiculous. I get why he's a fan favorite, but people out here are weird about him.

Beau Bennett interview in the locker room with Joe Starkey on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh. Interesting stuff.

In a separate quote he mentioned tonight's game and the opportunity to score. He said he just needs to not grip the stick to tight and just bury them. I hope he does.

Anyone's thoughts on things Hansen/Hossa hit from last night?

Looked to me like when he realized he couldn't reach the puck, he decided to shove Hossa. I don't think he meant to give him a headshot, but you gotta be more careful around the head.

It's impossible to try to figure out a player's intent.

For sure. Looked like he definitely delivered an elbow/forearm to his head. He also left his skates, or appeared to when he hit him. Slight chance(very slight) he was actually trying to bat the puck down. 1-3 games depending on how Shanahan views it. Sound about right? No matter the term he will face suspension for it.

I was just upset to see that it was Hossa who was hit in the head.

It's incredible that a mythic head shot on a shoulder to shoulder check gets you five and a game, but an obvious blow to the head from behind in open ice is shrugged off as a 2 minute minor. It was a head shot. Intent is irrelevant.

You make an excellent point. Having said that, the league isn't listening. The player discipline side isn't nearly as bad as the on ice officiating though. Zero consistency. I'm a bit surprised that things haven't gotten better considering there haven't been many suspensions/fines to go with calls that if they were legitimate would garner such things.

IF the pens did get perry wouldnt they have to buyout martin or not resign letang? I know kennedy's 2mil is off the books after this season. I know martin has been playing really well but i would part with him after this season if it meant perry would be here and locked up long term. But i wouldnt part with tanger.

That's probably the only way I'd want to see Paul Martin traded, to acquire a top 6 star forward. Perry would look awessome on this team.
