They wouldve been able to keep Campbell after Drury, Briere, Vanek walked. I wouldve been okay with that. Vanek's contract hurt us from being able to keep Campbell.

Mackinnon was only being compared to Crosby because they came from the same town and the same teams. Druin is better than Mackinnon in my opinon. Feel like Mackinnon was a complimentary player (like Vanek has been until the first 35 games last year and the start to this season) when watching WJC. Druin started out on the 4th line, looked so good on his own, he earned his spot playing with Nuge and Scheifele and just excelled at it.

Im not entirely sold on Jones being a Niedermayer. Hope he proves me wrong though, go USA!

I would. CBJ if they pick first need a forward. They take Drouin IMO. If the Isle have a chance they take Jones, his father is an assistant for the Brooklyn Nets so Im sure he would love to be in NY.

I don't think so. If you get a perspective outside of Buffalo, he is still considered and Elite goaltender, those are much harder to find than a winger who give you 60-70 points

Like I said, without Vanek, we had a great shot at being the #1 overall pick, or in the top 3. We couldve had 2 picks in the top 14 for 4 straight years.

2009 -- Tavares, Duchene, Hedman, E. Kane, Ekman-Larsson, R. Ellis, Kassian

We couldve been in a position to draft 2 of those players each year. And then, with the cupboards stacked, trade some of them for veteran players to fill holes better.

You cant tell me we wouldnt have ended up with a lineup like the Penguins, Blackhawks have with 2 stud forwards, 2 stud defensemen, we already had Miller.
