I noticed the size of all the wingers too...I want like a 6'4 ANIMAL winger that can easily pocket 30 goals

Nobody is saying that, but if we keep playing how we are, that pick will be the only thing to look forward to this year.
- LetsGoBuffalo75

And we will be right back to square one next year saying the same thing, Gee what pick will we get this year. It never stops.

Why does it matter where we pick in the draft? that one player isn't going to turn this team into a contender, so I don't see what all the hype is about. We are years away from anything close to being a contender.
- SABRES 89

my thing is that we should be a contender now...this team is under achieving poorly, at least thats what I believe, so if we could land a stud and add him to what we already have, which, again, I think is good...we would be a contender

That's why my second best would be Monahan, he's 6'2.
- LetsGoBuffalo75

Barkov, Monahan, Nichushkin or Zadorov

draft one of them or trade down, assuming jones is gone

I like Mantha, Richardinson or Mueller later in the draft

Wrong we won't be, we are far from it and 1 player will not make the difference.

I'm just saying, thats my opinion...I feel like our roster is solid and we would be a real contender with a top pick or a trade for a superstar

we should have been a contender a few years ago, otherwise they should have taken the picks from the oilers

the gm gets d men with offensive upside yet the coach forces the guys up front to play passive and focus on D

it's like the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing

and this team has gotten so (frank)ing slow

why keep miller, vanek and pommer if this team has no clear path for success with the current regime?

only problem is we can suck and still no gaurentee we get a top 3 pick.
- Homer

The odds remain the same as in past years for the first overall. So its unlikely that we see anyone other than the three worst teams get the #1 overall.

Also, they dont draw an order for every non-playoff slot do they? The draw just allows the winning team to pick first. Then the order is set on standings.

So if the Sabres finish 2nd or 3rd last, they will get the 3rd or 4th pick if they or the teams ahead of them dont win the lottery.

I agree...they need decide...rebuild or no rebuild (which, you know it will be no-rebuild)....because those three could bring in an absolute HAUL for the future...

How many 6'4" animal wingers score 30 goals in the NHL? You can count it on 1 hand. If they arent there, you cant get them.

Secondly, what does skill have to do with size? If a guy who is 5'11" can tear the league apart, im drafting his talent.

He became the Joker in his mind... he secluded himself in hotel rooms and completed mind (frank)ed himself into being a criminal. He couldn't sleep so he OD'd on sleeping pills, alcohol, and pain killers.

Have you ever seen the interview with the guy that he based the joker's voice off of? Tom Watts?

I never seen this and yes he did sound just like this man.
I knew the story behind him passing on and felt it was sooooo meaningless and tragic.

We shouldve taken the four firsts from Oilers. Quicker rebuild than the Penguins and Blackhawks.

We wouldve had 2 picks in the top 14 draft picks. Because lets be honest, Vanek was not going to put that Edmonton team over the top after they lost Pronger and Smyth. Even if Edmonton wasnt finishing dead last, we might have been.
