Personally I appreciate Voracek's consistent play. Since he has gotten back into game shape he has been solidly good. Whatever line he is on seems to be productive. Carter was way too streaky offensively and he would go ling stretches where he forgot how to play at his most effective...that is, he'd shy away from the gritty areas on the ice. When he wanted to be the guy it was a pleasure watching him play, but far too often I found myself thinking he could do more. I'm not saying I'd take Jake over Carter, but I think that the Flyers did quite alright in that trade with the way Jake has played and with the way Couturier has played since being drafted.

Really? Solely based on the player or are you taking the team into account? Obviously Jake fits better with the team right now based on position.

That's my belief. I think giving him 8 from the get-go would cost you less money total than starting short.

In the month of Feb. we have two players who are scoring above a ppg... Voracek (2 goals 10 assists in 10 games) and Schenn (4 goals 7 assists 10 games).

Carter was no more streaky then any other goal scorer. Way overblown. I have no issues with the trade considering they got Couturier. He has a chance to be a better player then Carter by himself

he's a 20 year old kid with tremendous potential, who has already done an admirable job at the nhl level. he was a gift selection at #8.
