You want something you are sure about to alleviate concern? Buy a term deposit with a fixed interest rate. This is the roster and team and playing style the Hawks are going with. Speed and superior skill is hard to compete with for any of the Blues, Predators, Kings etc when they never have the puck. Do you think any of those teams want to play the Hawks? But nobody knows how many injuries they will sustain before the playoffs or who they are going to be matched up with. The best teams don't always win.

Exactly! Get a couple of big wingers and work on that powerplay to take any thoughts of being over aggressive out of the minds of the opposition.

If the powerplay is hitting on all cylinders maybe the Hawks can get by on speed but if that powerplay falters and teams don't fear taking liberties because of it the hawks could potentially go out very quickly. I'd like to see them add some size and to make sure that powerplay is feared.

I think this is the year that Bowman should make some big moves, the Hawks are already the best team in the West and a couple of solid additions should make them even better.

Should have been more then 5 games, and it would have been if it wasn't for it being the clean keith.

But Hamhuis' hit on Bolland was fine, Hansen's hit last night was fine, it's only an issue if a Canuck hits the ice by any means other than their own dive? Keith made a bad call and sat for 5 games. Move on. Hansen will probably get a couple of games for elbowing a guy in the back of the head. Think if Andrew Shaw did the same thing to Daniel Sedin, you would be calling for a 23 game suspension. Dirty hit by swinging the elbow into the back of Hossa's head. Did the crime, should do some time. Can we move on? Go back to Esplen's blog if you want to cry about how unfair life is.

Stallberg and Bollig providing the players they get can play and can be physical. Bollig can always be inserted for 'special occasions', Stallberg is trade bait in my mind.

Kieths hit was pretty bad and intentional and definately deserved a suspension , but sedin had it comin and started that whole process to begin with ....what part of that do canuck fans not understand . The league views it under the category of embellishment more so than diving. If there is a trip or hook for example its a penalty. If the fouled player takes on the role of a soccer player and does an over the top acting job to demonstrate how he was egregiously fouled, he gets unsportsmanlike conduct.

Keith doesn't hit Sedin if Sedin didn't target him earlier in the game with a dirty hit.

Just like Hossa, Toews etc.. the Canucks ALWAYS target key players vs. players named Brookbank, Bolig etc. And there is 100% a reason for that.
