Shanaban has an easy way out now - not deliberate intent but contact with the head made. Cough up $5K Jannik and we"ll let you play next game. - RickJ
But was the puck now well above the ground? Shoulder height?

What were The face off stats like tonight? Anyone? Ever notice the Canucks seem to be the one team even Toews struggles against at the dot? Kessler seems to have Toews number when it comes to face offs.
I don't doubt he hit him on purpose, it just didn't look that bad to me. Looked like he barely touched him. Like I said, guys get hit that hard during a post whistle, goal mouth scrum every game. If Hossa doesn't "sell it", they don't even call a penalty on that play. - Ogilthorpe2
I can't speak to his intention...that is irrelevant to me. He hit him in the back in the head while the puck was falling in front of hossa. He should be disciplined!
From the trib: "Hansen said he was aware that Hossa was injured last season.
"Obviously we know he got hit last year," Hansen said. "Everybody in the hockey world knows that. It was a hockey play. When you go for a puck you go for a puck."
Just another hockey play....predicting these guys responses takes no effort at all!! When you go for the puck just make sure go through the back of the head first...ya know just a hocky play!!!
1. Chicago
2/3 St Louis, Vancouver
4. San Jose
5 - 15 also rans.
Maybe Phoenix as they have nothing to play for. - Beatle_john
I think LA is more dangerous than San Jose come playoff time. They can really wear a team down over an entire series. I had the Blues as my pre-season pick to come out of the West, but the Hawks obviously look strong while the Blues have been inconsistent. I'm still sticking with the Blues as my pick as of now since I think that they have the best combination of depth, size and balance for a cup run.

That hooking call on Rozival that lead to the Canucks 2nd goal was W-E-A-K too. Good lord. Should have been another dive.

Seems like he's either really good, or really bad. There's been a couple of games this year he's been over 60%.

Yeah, I was at the game with my Pops and we were pretty confused about that call. The officiating was consistently confusing tonight. - Fat_Tony_Amonte
I'm just watching the game now. Confusing is an understatement.
The interference on Bolland was interesting as well.

The officiating was worse than usual even by its lowly standard! But I have to say worst blown call of the year happened in the preds/aves gme yesterday. Duchene is offside by at leat 6-8 ft..no whistle..and he is even surprised so he just calmly pumps it in the net...good goal!

Anaheim will be there. They have a good hockey team and Boudreau seems to be getting the most out of them.

Oh my....that was simply amazing...everybody pulled up expecting a whistle...Duchene just casually carries on, deposits it, and Rinne just threw his arms out. What the....?

I was in Denver last night, watched that game in a bar. That was an interesting call, the explanation they gave made no sense since the puck deflected off of the Preds player. He never controlled the puck.
Wasn't there an "interference" call on Toews in the 3rd...when he hit the puck carrier? Seem to recall T. Murray exasperated over that one. - ArlingtonRob
Probably because they gave the interfere-e an unsportsmanlike for embellishing an interference. I think.

We've all seen really close calls, that were offsides when slowed down, that resulted in goals...but that was just ridiculous.

TURN DOWN YOU VOLUME. And now watch. No Homerism. And no weird comments about him being a blacket length and good to see him on his knees. 9Sorry, my inner 13 year old child is coming out)
But just watch, and take no opinion. Now... what do you say?
And by the way, why is it a Canuck Fan, part-time troll and Bea Arthur impersonaltor to bring this video into this forum!

Since when is that a factor in calling offsides. I think over all the linesman do a great job making bang bang line calls. But that was as flagrant a blown call from a linesman you will ever see!!

Well they said it was put in the zone by a Preds player which would negate the offsides, but the puck was advanced by an Av's player and merely deflected off of one of the Preds players...so yeah, it should have been off sides for sure.

This video shows....
Hansen did not take a run at Hossa. he was right there. In fact, so close, I would doubt he knew the number on the players sweater as they were so close.
But besides all of that....
Bottom line....
Whether intensional or not....
Honestly guys.................. Keith on Sedin in now vindicated.
