Every Canucks game? I was gone last season and this is my first time here this year.
Apparently I let quite an impression on you a couple years ago though. I'm flattered.
I'm just saying it was an innocent play. And pointing out that a lot of Hawks fans were defending Keith's elbow to the jaw of Sedin yet now they are calling for Hansen's head. - hankthetank
Blackhawk fans and Marian Hossa not being female dogs may factor into this differing of opinions. |

More from the alternate reality. He pushed Weise. Please. It was a fight. Weise lost a decision. Bollig took the instigator. It's hockey.
And Bollig never hid from Kassian or anybody. Seriously?
Listen, Hansen got frustrated and took a cheap shot. That's obviously what happened. He's going to get suspended and he deserves it. So deal with it.
Post something that reflects something other than homer, trolling crap. - John Jaeckel
Alternate reality? Its nice to know that ur opinion, or assumption in this case relates to every other post on HB, i.e meaningless.
Indeed, lets wait until the league deals with it, or in this case does absolutely nothing as is the result of the so called hit. |

He was going for the puck, completely accidental... but it was a penalty. If he has no past suspensions, I think he'll just receive a fine.
Heck, Seto cross-checked Quincy in the jaw last game and didn't receive a suspension... - SotaPopinski
Yeah, the more I look at it, I think he'll just get a hearing with a warning and possibly a fine. |

Quick thoughts
-I hate shootouts but thank God the Hawks won that game, that's twice they've toyed with division leaders (Ana, Van) in the past week yet have let these guys hang around and have 3 pts to show for it. They almost blew the Kings game as well. Time to start putting these teams to bed instead of letting them back in the game.
-Oduya, please remove head from ass. Same goes for you too Rozsival. Can't be taking late penalties.
-Sounds like Hossa will be ok (according to the postgame) but that sucked to see, he was dominating tonight.
-Nice to see Sharp getting hot as well.
-Hawks are too damn fast, Vancouver used to be able to at least keep up with them but tonight was very one sided. For a while I thought we were playing Nashville.
-Schneider is a good goalie and was outstanding tonight, it could've been much worse tonight if not for him. A Luongo trade will go a long way for his confidence.
-Jason Garrison is awful, good luck with that contract Canucks. Someone should tell him he's not playing in the Southeast division anymore. I've watched a good amount of Canuck games so far and I've been very unimpressed with him for how much they gave him.
-Keep the streak alive on Friday!!!

Keith retaliated. But it was dirty (and suspendable).
But WTF does that have to do with what Hansen did? Nothing.
Hansen got frustrated and took a shot at the guy who was single-handedly beating his team. The league will decide it. |

Even 'clean' players get frustrated. - John Jaeckel
Very true. |

Just got back from the game....
Go figure...
- The Hawks are the better team
- The Canucks simply cannot stop being cheap shot artists with as much talent as that team has
- At what point do Canucks fans simply demand that poop-tastic head coach to be canned?
What happened tonight between Hossa/Hansen deserves another 20 game penalty. At some point players will release you simply cannot hit a defenseless player like that in the head. Unbelievable. |

Hey Rick there you are! Broke out the Macallan Fine Oak 15 yr when it was 3-1. A bit early but we backed into the win. - HawkintheD
Did you have a 2nd shot when Shaw scored in the SO? |

Well I guess the cap hit isn't as bad. But it's crazy he makes 12 million this season. Talk about a front-loaded contract - prd797

Yes, completely innocent.. back turned to the player, elbow to the head - zero intention and completely innocent.
I'm just WAITING to hear the Kane/cabbie incident for a defense of this. |

Hilarious stuff here...
Had Hammer just "leisurely" clocked one of the Sisters in the head with an elbow as their back was turned, we'd hear about how it was manslaughter. Hilarious stuff I tell you. |

Ya, Hossa was really blowing them out. How many points did he have? 5? 6?
You're so quick to point out the inconsistency of the league and suspensions yet if you get called out for being inconsistent in your assessments then we just have to let it go? Got it. - hankthetank
Did you watch that game? Hossa was by far and away the best player on ice and it wasn't remotely close. |
