Again - the point is intent. Hansen followed through with his elbow/arm into Hossa's head - 100% intent to try to hurt a defenseless player.
My God I would have LOVED to have seen the Canuck fan reactions if that was one of the sisters on the other end of a hit like that. - CaptainBlackhawk
First off the only reason why he want to the 15 min chamber is because of your friend Torres who is doing quite good lately . And he was reaching for the puck. |

As opposed to demonizing a citizen for catching a baseball?
Or, repeatedly burning down ghettos?
Perhaps having one of the worst crime rates in
North America, as well as implementing one of the most hostile and racist police forces on earth?
Nice try... - Whiskey-Tango
How about a city that is the scourge of Canada when it comes to crack cocaine abuse and y'all tolerate it in your most beautiful landmark in Stanley Park...what up with that ? |

Those all have nothing to do with Hockey. Vancouver Riot after the Canucks loss had everything to do with Hockey.
We aren't insulting Vancouver, we are insulting your crappy volatile fan-base. |

they have - that's why they have the reputation they do. - CaptainBlackhawk
You did not read my question clearly. If they are a diving team why do the refs continue to make those calls? |

If the canucks dived all the time don't you think the refs would catch on? - pker2theend
Umm, you don't think they have? |

I said this earlier, in peewee hockey they have the stop sign on the back of the jerseys. Why would Hansen even be anywhere near Hossa, checking him when his back is to him? INTENT! He knew exactly where he was, and knew what he was doing. |

This would all be so powerful if it was all true. That's the problem.
I mean I could say you've inhaled too much second hand weed smoke walking around Robson Street and that makes you loony. But that would be specious and stupid.
Quit while you're sorta not too far behind. - John Jaeckel
Agreed, i went a little far with the ghetto burning, but the rest, is it really that far off? |

Well fellas, I've reached my limit. 5:40am here, and I'm done. Happy to see the 2 points, hope for the best for Hoss and Seabs to return soon, and curious to see what the league does tomorrow.
And to the trolls:
Also: JJ, take a look at the pic I posted of CSN's Kustok replacement earlier and enjoy |

You don't put your arm/forearm/elbow to someone's head if you are "reaching for the puck". |

Fair enough. I will try to be fair about the hit tomorrow— and basically say the league will decide it. I think it was dirty, and many others do. Some (even a Hawk fan or two) think it was accidental. So there is room for debate, I guess. - John Jaeckel
One thing I hope the league would start is at minimum fining players for very questionable plays. That way they would be repeat offenders each subsequent time. I can see where it could have been accidental, but I cannot see a possible argument that he was trying to play the puck. If he was reaching for the puck, his forearm never would have been in the position it was. |

Gillis might be more to blame then AV. The guy has really done nothing to improve the team since 2011. Nucks are regressing. - dan9189
I don't want Gillis to ever fire AV - LOSERS ALWAYS LOSE. |

Yes it is, because it has nothing to do with Hockey. This is a hockey blog, and we spoke of your hockey riot because it was credited to the Canucks playoff collapse, which was hockey.
See what I'm getting at here? |

They don't grasp this..
- has nothing to do with gang warfare
- has nothing to do with young people intent to kill others
They destroyed their city BECAUSE OF A HOCKEY GAME!! |

Than you best start insulting the rest of Canada.
You think Vancouver is the only city to riot over hockey?
While you are at it, give a little jab to Europe, South America, the Middle East and Asian over soccer riots.
Did the states ever riot over a NFL, NBA or Baseball win or losses?
Come on now, drunken group mentalities are partial to no country. |
