2-8 and 4-27 will get a good chunk of ice time and 32-17 will play third pair minutes which will be fine. - nickmo2699
Hope to see the Hawks not get cute tonight with their passing around the blue line.Dump it in and retrieve, commit to backcheck as they have been and protect Ray.If they do this it should be enough. |

Maybe if Keith gives him the peoples Elbow.
Schneids needs a come back game, I expect good things, but hey who knows?
Does Emery play good forever? Underrated goalie, however. - Mattjd123
Emery has been great but the Hawks are playing GREAT team defense.

Really man? the "holier than thou" act is just as bad as the $hit throwing that's been going on here. Evidently you feel the same way about the Hawks as Southie does about the Nucks, you wouldn't come to troll on the last couple of threads if you didn't... - prd797
really?? I've been posting on jjs blog for over two years at least.i told him i like reading his posts to get an insight on what's going on with the team that stands in our way of the cup.maybe he can confirm that maybe he can't but that's the fact jack.I'm not trolling just trying to engage in civilized discourse with hockey fans who might have a clue unlike the morons i run into in Toronto all the time. |

I hate the Canucks but I also caution not to go of the deep end here. They are going to give the Hawks probably their best shot tonight, and outside of Minnesota, and Anaheim, are the only team that hasn't resided in 2 points.
They are damn near healthy and yes, I would take Mr. Kesler ALL DAY LONG over Bolland. Go back and watch the 2010 Olympics. The man was a beast for USA. He and Booth add depth scoring, and Schneider in net won't give the Hawks the gimmee 1 soft goal Roberta seems to allow every time he comes to the UC.
The Sedins remind me of the creepy Cobra twins from GI Joe. They were almost Hawks, if it wasn't for the love of Bryan Berard.
Again, I'm curious to see how the Hawks match up against Vancouver, who always plays well in UC. This is by far their toughtest game of the season. STL early on was another solid test, but factor in Vancouver's health and how they are playing of late...and lets hope the boys in red come out on top, or else this board will be a parade of trolls tomorrow. - SteveRain

Due to the post cup purge of the Hawk roster they where not in your way the last 2 years. The only team that got in the Nucks way was themselves.Yes maybe this year it will be the Hawks again. |

Instead of moving Leddy up to the 1st d pairing with Keith I'd rather see:
Hammer and Oduya as the 1st pairing
Keith and Brookbank 2nd pairing
Leddy and Rozeval 3rd pairing
Keith's speed should be able to cover for Brookbank and only one pairing is changed. - jhawk159
Losing Seabrook hurts for a lot of reasons, especially so because nobody has his skill set.
I think Q. will rotate Keith, Hammer and Oduya in crunch time but Leddy needs to step up and eat minutes...Especially 5 0n 5 and on the PP.
Leddy will make mistakes but has the speed and athleticism to make up for an error...
Brookbank has been so-so..and Rozisval has appeared slower than usual.

I could not help to think of the fat rebounds nemo would give up in 2010 while watching the last two games with Emery. He has been solid though thus far..... |

Finally. - CanUSA17
I respect your team and most of your fans. Most of you guys, are respectful and we can debate the actual game and not reside to name calling.
The Canucks very well may be the, the team that scares me the most in the west. I was very umimpressed with San Jose watching them in person on Friday night. Anaheim is a lfash in the pan .They have 2 guys, hell bent on putting up huge numbers so they can get paid. The rest of their team knows damn well this is their last chance before that team is blown to high heaven.
Wings are old...Blues, could be a factor but they are lost right now. Predators don't have enough depth, and the Hawks match up very well against LA. I'm not saying it's a slam dunk but it reminds me to how well the Hawks matched up to the Sharks in 2010 and we all know how that turned out.
Ryan Kesler may be my favorite American player in the game today. |

3. Don't like Brookbank and Rozsival together for the simple reason they're both right handed shots...ideally i like to see balance and right shooter with a left shooter
i.e. 7-2....17 or 32 with 8.... - philco28
But then what about #4 and #27??? Both LH shots and they've done well together. In fact, I doubted they would because it seemed that Hjalmarsson could not play the off-side last year.
However, there are many advantages to playing the off-side:
1. chance for one-time shot/pass -- simply much easier to catch/shoot or catch/pass all in one motion.
2. top hand of stick (where the control comes from) is your off-hand. So, for LH shot, it's their right hand on top. For RH shot, left hand on top. So, think of it this way, a LH on the right side has good control of the stick w/one hand (right hand/control hand) at top/end of stick -- it REALLY extends the reach of the player quite a bit, especially for a D man using the stick to cut off a lane to skate/pass/shoot.
IMO, this has been a great advantage for Hjalmarsson and last year, Leddy played the off-side quite a bit.
My guess is, #8 will be on the Right side of Keith and should do fine there. I'm sure Q's thinking is having 2 racehorses on the same pair might allow the pace to really be pushed while those 2 are out there together. |
