broke
/brōk/
Adjective

Having completely run out of money.

Synonyms
penniless - bankrupt

- dcb1

This is why until the isles get a new owner, we have no shot at anything changing. It's disgusting and hopeless.

its prob a combo of that and plenty of wishful thinking...but he just looked TOTALLY dejected after the game (more than normal), from a human standpoint, i actually felt bad for him...from an islander fan standpoint, i was doing cartwheels.
- LetsGoIsles

I have to say I felt bad for him too. He couldn't even put a make believe smile on. It's like he knew he was done.

" Another exec on Snow: “Some guys are masters of the salary cap. He is master of the salary floor.” Great line — and not intended as an insult."

It's NOT?!?!?

- Mancalledsting

Yes on any other franchise getting rid of DP would be plan number 1,2,3 4 & 5.

But when you have an owner that wants to spend as little as possible... buying out a player is NOT an option. Sending the player down to the minors so that you have to pay him & replace his salary on the big club is NOT an option. Snow has done really well with having to spend below the cap.

He has a current Net Worth of $890 million. The losses of the Isles have been a heavy shot but I don't think he's by any means broke. That said, I think it's taken a big enough bite out of his wallet that he's treading very lightly until the climate is better for making money (ie 2015)

I think I would to be honest. Give me the payroll let me see what I can do. I think whenI go to the game Sunday I will drop off my resume. We might hear an announcement that KASPERRKO is the new GM

Us fans have suffered enough. I am sure the players will appreciate our support. There must be a petition out there to get Wang out of power. I feel like I am dealing with Communist china here. I mean if we get enough signature send it to the NHL offices maybe just maybe they can step in

Are you kidding me that whole staff would be gone. I would though take the players into consideration. This team needs a clean up from the front office to the bench. I will say there is talent here I do beleive that but there talents are going to waste in this system that they are playing.
