I wonder if Nonis is showcasing Gunnerson. He would be a valuable commodity right now. An NHL defenceman, young, can move the puck. Maybe O'Reilly? I wonder.
Nice game by the Leafs tonight. Scrivens looks good, as do the defense. A little more scoring would be nice, but defense wins games and Carlyle is doing exactly what he needs to do, to get into the playoffs. I believe Carlyle was embarrassed, last year, when he came in and couldn't turn around the team. It will be interesting to see, what happens, when Lupul and Frattin get back. |

I know the Leafs are a bubble team.. but if they compete every night.. hit hard... defend as a team.. crunch some knuckles in some faces... I will be happy enough...
Just don't want stupid trades.. get rid of some of the big price tags.. draft well... build from within and add some primo top talent..

Stick with the young guys, strengthen the center position and try to acquire more draft picks. That is the path that they should follow.
