Goaltending Contraversies are not bad things.
Did you hear what Brian Burke said today.... neither did anyone else.

I have a picture of my dad holding up a 90 lb.er when I was a kid. My own experience netted me a piddly 60.

Kinda cool. The one restaurant in Hay River serves fish n chips using only Great Slave whitefish. all fresh. They also serve a muskox burger. Delicious. Just avoid a bar called The Caribou. Pretty much a native only bar. If youre a white guy the reception is somewhat unfriendly.

- sanfordnson

I was supposed to be up on a job in Hay River last week. Id love to try the muskox burger

1 dive not 2...NHL calls all sorts of things...but are wrong sometimes..

I mean the guy totally drove him from behind with a cross check - not sure what the ref was looking at...it was the 2nd cross check in about 5 sec's that Komarov took.

Just like the offside last night where Duchene is sitting in front of the net and the puck isn't even over the line yet. They manage to call it a good goal and the ref's admitted the mistake after the game.

Its good. Place is right off the highway coming into town before the airport. If the Back Eddy is still open they had great seafood.

- Dozzer

Again, Im not complaining about it...I was just saying.

they are playing a solid team game. everyone is committed to the jobs carlyle has given them (it seems to me anyways)

and surprise surprise, they're winning

back to back shutouts for scrivens too

seems like leafs farm hand goalies who take their ahl team to the AHL finals seems to do well in the NHL the following year..

who saw that coming?

- Dozzer

poop, even Kessel's a +5...Franson's a +10....everyone's buying in and it's working out. They're still giving up a lot of shots, but fewer of them are of the "prime scoring area"variety.

Im opposite.. Ive got two rods... a new spool of line for each (ones for trout, other for walleye, pike, bass) and im pretty oldschool about my lures.. 15 panter martens and a few other spinners/spoons for trout, and i never leave the house without the good old ripplin redfin
- Arctic_AARDVARK

two rods? hell i use two rods minimum unless im in the rivers!

and its best to have a few different tackle boxes, depending on where you are going and what you are fishing for...

if im in the rivers, i got my chest waders, and my rod, the rest is all in my vest pockets so i dont need much!

now if im pier fishing il have 2 rods set up, 1 for lures and 1 for jigs.

boat fishing il have 3, a bait caster for trolling, a lighter action for jigging, and a medium rod that just has a snap or snap swivel and i can toss out on command!

If you are ever up around Collingwood, there's a restaurant called Ted's Range Road Diner.

http://www.meaford.com/teds/index.htm

Check outt he menu - all sorts of crazy meats there.

Sadly, the restaurant isn't nearly as good as it was 10 years ago (in my humble opinion).
