well its been awhile since ive been there..

Chalk river flows into the Ottawa and goes thru the town of chalk river.. Its just a small river with a chain of small lakes.. They used to be polluted with muskie.. Like 5-10 a day easy. Largies over 5 lbs and plenty of them. Ive seen musky in those lakes (second james lake) that were pushing 50lbs and its a very small lake. Some idiot fishing camp in Deep river has been bringing americans in there those and now you'll just catch tons of hammer handle pike. Still some big ski lurking around tho.

Pretty big for a walleye. In current too. Crazy.
- sanfordnson

Walleye love the current - do they not?

I know in the Ottawa River they sit in the current and feed and we catch them by the bucket full!!!

I'd say the second one was a pretty stiff cross check in the back... tough call on the dive on that one

I have a picture of my dad holding up a 90 lb.er when I was a kid. My own experience netted me a piddly 60.

Kinda cool. The one restaurant in Hay River serves fish n chips using only Great Slave whitefish. all fresh. They also serve a muskox burger. Delicious. Just avoid a bar called The Caribou. Pretty much a native only bar. If youre a white guy the reception is somewhat unfriendly.

So no real surprises on the injury front.

At least we know the projections they gave were accurate.

Loops another couple weeks.

Reimer starts skating in the next couple days(as opposed to needing 2-3 weeks off)

And Frattin getting back on the wagon 2 weeks after his injury.

-------------------------

One thing I think Nonis should have a plan for is the glut of money on the blueline. With our team doing so well with AHLers, there's simply no reason why Komi and Liles should consume over 8m sitting in the press box.

There's a good reason to believe that someone will take a flyer on Komisarek. With the cap going down considerably next year pawning off Liles is next to impossible, however, Komi would provide depth and only be a liability for one more season. Liles can be bought out at the end of the season.

We will eventually hit a point where we HAVE to get Gardiner back in the lineup. Our PP is still pretty bad and Liles hasn't been able to do anything to fix that.

Just messing with you man. I love Canada, all of it, bad, good, cold, humid, french, English, rednecks, blue collar, white collar, newfie or oldfie! It's all good.

I left North Africa in 1999, finished my studies in Califonia, moved to Romania in East Europe for a job and then, been following career opportunities ever since. I lived in so many countries (England, Turkey, Italy, France, Bulgary, Algeria, Morrocco, Spain, Lybia, Egypt, etc...) before I landed in Montreal January 23rd, 2005, then 2 weeks after moved to Toronto.

I have seen half of the world and mingled with every culture there is and adapted to different languages, systems, religions, etc...trust me when I say, WE HAVE IT GOOOOOOOOOOD here in Canada!

1 dive not 2...NHL calls all sorts of things...but are wrong sometimes..

I mean the guy totally drove him from behind with a cross check - not sure what the ref was looking at...it was the 2nd cross check in about 5 sec's that Komarov took.

Just like the offside last night where Duchene is sitting in front of the net and the puck isn't even over the line yet. They manage to call it a good goal and the ref's admitted the mistake after the game.
