And I'll say this again, for no other reason that people here seem to be reminded of it:

Phaneuf continues to be the best Leafs defenceman out there.

In fact, it's not even close.

So true. Time to give Dion his props. They are well deserved.

Trade for Hiller
- the_cause2000

(frank) that!

How is Hiller an upgrade over Reimer/Scrivens at this point in time? Even if he is an upgrade, he's certainly not worth the assets it would cost.

A 30 year old with a history of vertigo and groin issues who has never won anything? No thanks.

Not taking any credit or saying I told you so but when everyone said Komarov won't make the team, I said he will make it and be a useful player.

Now to continue my trend, I pointed out Frattin while he was still at North Dakota and said he would play with the Leafs, I will now go to my next player, watch for Leivo to be the next one that will surprise you all.

Amen. Whether it be new systems, luck, talent or just that somebody sold a soul, we have two guys who are in the top ten (Reimer joint tenth) for GAA right now and you have to just keep rolling with that.

Leivo will be awesome for us. He's playing lights out in the OHL, and has leadership and character coming out of his ass.

My major concern is his giveaways at the blue line and up the middle in his own zone, I can accept the little offence until he gets going only if he was being responsible in his own end of the ice, which he is not lately.
- LeafMan

I think a couple of those giveaways is due to the defenseman ( Franson ) the 1st time...passes it to him in the middle but he has zero time or room to do anything with it...Franson had a couple blockhead moments last night...up the middle..getting beat on the outside. I do like him, but his defense makes me nervous sometimes.

Been away in the Caribbean for the past 10 days......... By the looks of things, the Leafs have been playing well.

Is Scrivens playing lights out? Or is it just very good team defense?

- faceto27

Meh decent D. But yes he has played great...made some awesome saves.
His puck handling sometimes can be scary.

He has been coughing up the puck with frequency in the last 4 to 5 games.

Most people have been big on Frattin for years.
The komarov thing, I will admit.....I was one the peeps saying he will be a 4th liner at best.......but honestly he's been a great 3rd/4th liner.
I've been happy with his efforts so far for sure.

But how about Scrivens? Looking darn good.
I hope he doesn't crap the bed tonight.

yeah and i think he will improve/adjust like many of our players have.

leafs keep winning im ok with guys in slumps, as long as they heat up when other guys get cold/slump.
