Yea of course a salary cap comes in once we get rich and draft sid and geno lol.

Anyways we are one winger away from having what we had in '08, when it was hossa-sid-duper, malone-geno-sykora. That '08 team on paper was the best team we had crosby era.

Giroux is the best player in the game. What Sid is better because he has more points? What happened in the playoffs? Giroux outplayed him big time. Giroux is off to a slow start just like Malkin. Giroux actually plays on the penalty kill unlike the crybaby Crosby, he is a better defender than him as well. Points aren't the only thing to look at how good a player is. Look at Jonathon Toews, the best captain in the NHL. He has never come close to Crosby in Points but everyone knows who the better leader is. Hartnell is back soon, Philly just needs to make the playoffs to take down this whining team with a girl as their captain. Good day!

So does having more points make you a better player? You are going to have to figure out if you want either Giroux or Ovechkin to be better than Crosby because the parameters for your trolling attempt conflict with one another.

Not a big difference but career PPG for Crosby is 1.4, Ovie is 1.2

Thanks for coming out

Stop ... then the best player in the game laid a big fat turd in the second round last year. Someone outplayed Claudia. A play-off series doesn't make a player the best in the world. It's over the course of time. Wake me up when Claude wins an MVP; scores over 100 points; has a 30-goal season. Claudia is off to a slow start. Well Malkin is goal wise. Geno 18 points in 16 games; Claudia 13 in 17. Stop right now. You are making a fool out of yourself. Then again, you are a Leaf fan, so ...

This shows you how much I dont like Philly, I am looking at the standings and they are coming back up from the bottom again. I just dont want them to make the playoffs, would be so much fun. Then again, not getting a chance to play them again in the playoffs and show last season was an aberration would be nice too.

People who are much smarter than you are constantly referring to Crosby as the best player in the world. That is what makes him better than Giroux.

Personally I love playing Philly. Jagr's leaving hurts Giroux. He no longer has as much room to roam. Crosby makes other play better around him. To me, this is a clear indication of Crosby's ability and why I choose him as the better player based on evidence as opposed to opinion.

3rd in the race for the President's Trophy is a little early to celebrate. There is yet to even be a race this early in the season.

The Pens, who have played 16 games to date, are sitting not so comfortably in the top spot in the East. Why are they not so confortable? Because they have 5 losses to their resume and played more games than the teams behind them. The NY Rangers, currently sitting in the 8th spot, also have 5 losses this season (but they've only played 14 games).

Easy there Pen fans. Don't lose control. It's a short season, but there's a lot more hockey to go. Let's start the race after we here the gun.

Actually, the Rangers have 6 losses. But I guess you forgot the 3rd number on a teams record is still a loss. Stop trolling, I know Maple Leaf fans are used to not having anything to root for in February except a high draft pick that usually is in possession of another team, but your team is actually in the hunt right now. Worry about them.

Why are Leafs fans starting to trolling so hard here all of a sudden? ...do they know something we don't know about a Kuelmin trade?!

TK and a 7th for Kulemin? Yeah, I'd probably troll over that.

You mean like how Leaf fans were sure that the Leafs were playoff bound last season. Before March and April happened?

"Despite missing three games, Letang’s 19 giveaways are third-highest total."

Is this third highest on the team, in the league, or out of the entire hockey playing population of the universe? Also, do the "giveaways" count all the shots that completely miss the net, and wrap right around the other side of the ice for a free breakout for the opposing team because whoever happens to be Letang's defensive partner at the time is caught flat-footed expecting that a 3.5-million dollar defenseman should maybe perhaps be able to at least hit the net a majority of the time?

At least it seems the trophy talk for this guy has diminished. Not sure if that's just because of the shortened season, or if people are wising up to the flaws in Letang's game.

Here are some very simple solutions to improve all of Letang's issues:

1) Shooting practice - Chain him to the ice for a few days and don't let him leave. Maybe that will teach him where the net is (although he leads the rush so often you would think he'd already know this...).

2) Move him up to wing - Why on Earth does a team this loaded up front with offensive talent need some sort of Orr or Coffey type? Just because the Oilers did it in the eighties doesn't mean the Penguins have to copy them over twenty years later. I know I'd feel a lot better if the premier defensemen on the team was a stay-at-home defensive guy.

3) Get a damn haircut - 'Nuff said.

C'mon, Kulemin is an amazing talent. He should warrant 2 1st round picks and a top 6 winger............Maple Leaf trade logic.

No one said we were winning the presidents trophy or the east. But at least we have a team that can be considered in that coversation.
