I don't really see the problem. Usually, when it comes to interviews like that, it's either contrived or the guy just lost his cool. I think this was a case of the latter.

In this case, Miller is right.

my problem with miller would be that it's not just "this case"....he runs his mouth off ALL THE TIME.

i understand that he's a leader on teh team, and i get that he faces a lot of shots and plays in front of a poor defense.....but his game still isnt' great, and at some point (if it hasn't happened already), his big mouth is going to become more of a distraction then his on ice performance and leadership are worth.

If this is true, i cringe to know who the followers are..

leaders dish out blame behind closed doors and take the blame in public.. Miller is dishing out the blame and not taking much of it if any..

- IndianaSabresFan

What blame should he take when he is consistantly hung out to dry?
I really wonder what games some of you watch sometimes.
Miller is not the problem but you keep thinking that.
Put any other goalie in the league in there with this team and the results would be the same and in most cases ,WORSE.

Miller should keep his mouth shut. No one likes an opinionated goalie who is already viewed as a douche

Thank you.
Yes, yes Miller is.
And yes something is brewing. This is why I tell all the ledge creepers and usual female dogers and whiners to just be patient.
If this team continues on the path it is and nothing is done, then you have something to female dog and creep the ledge for.

craig anderson has faced the 3rd most shots in teh league, playing in front of a D corps made up of 3 rookies, 2 over the hill guys, and up until a few days ago, one great d-man.

despite being hung out to dry himself, on a fairly regular basis, he's still putting up incredible numbers.

miller's job is to stop the puck, not call out the players in front of him. if he's frustrated, then fine, have a closed door meeting with the other players, but don't run your mouth off in front of a camera, throwing your teammates under the bus. that's just stupid. miller needs to learn to think before he speaks.

Obviously you did not see this game. The captain Pominville gift wrapped one of the goals and the other deflected off Ehrhoff who was screening Miller. If Kaleta was in his spot he would have just blocked the shot. If you can't/won't block it, move out of the way. They just can't hold on to a lead or a tie. We have the worst defence in the league.

Disagree.
He made some great saves to keep the team where it was in that game.
Goalies are a unique breed. I know I was one. They have to be. The way I always looked at it , it was everyone on the ice against me and dared them to try and put that black disc by me.
Miller is the least of this teams problems.
Most here just have a hard on for him.

I never said any of it was his fault, i actually think he has played better this year than he has been in the past.. What i am saying is - it doesn't matter who's fault it was.. he needs to keep his blame for private if he wants to be viewed as a leader. You call teammates out in private and take the blame in public.. otherwise the players in front of you get pissed at you for always calling them out and everything goes down hill from there.

You are using a miracle run by Anderson as your basis?
He will come crashing down to earth.

ding ding ding.....a TRUE leader doesn't go in front of the cameras and rip his teammates. the ONLY person who should be criticizing the players, EVER, is the coach.

a good leader will go out and say...."WE didn't get the job done..", " WE need to play better..." etc, etc. he doesn't go out and say "THEY sucked", "it's THEIR fault".

Not anywhere did I say he was bad. He needs to stop opening his mouth all the time and instead be opinionated in the locker room where it counts. Don't call out your team publicly. Your a goalie, keep pucks out of the net is all he can do.

BTW I could name several goalies who would be better statistically then Miller. Easily

a miracle run, maybe, but he still hasnt' shown any signs of slowing down. my point was that it's possible for goalies to play really well in front of poopty defense

Some of the usual posters here at least give me a good laugh.
Going back to the last blog and Darcy comments.
What do you expect Darcy to say to the media?
I know we are all frustrated but I really think some here need to rea$$ess their rants.
I know be patient may not be the right words but trust me, just be patient you will be happy very soon.

The team is terrible. There is no debating that. They have been terrible for years. This is professional sports where the goal is to win a championship. Real fans want that and voice their displeasure. Real fans don't say "Yay for being average. Let's give them a trophy as a participation award".

Its pointless to go into other blogs as a Sabres fan because its always pretty busy in here.

And he was wrong, many goalies would have better numbers then Miller. Not that Miller is terrible its just that he is overrated by many.
