did anybody eles screen get weird??? like the location part is big and the writing part is small - Sabres2012CUP
Sometimes that happens to me when I'm at work. I've never had it happen at home though. It might be because I use internet explorer at work and chrome at home.
Well I'm not going to try to be a Swammy here but I would have to think he may have made a slight difference since our #2 PP unit was Ott-Ennis-Gerbe at times and as much as I like Ott that combo cannot really scare anyone. - LamontSanford
Exactly.
The power play is the worst I've seen it in years. Skate it in or shoot it in, the puck finds it's way back to Miller every F'n time they try to gain the puck in the O-zone.. Couldn't hurt to let the kid use some creativity, play making abilities. If the coach is ready to let his players have fun again.

as hard as miller plays..and as good as he is playing..he has the right to vent - feetontheair22
This is partly true. But as he is one of the longest tenured players on the team I'd venture as far as to say HE NEEDS TO SAY THESE THINGS. He is not whining, this has gone on too long, it's time the players find some accountability, if it takes the best player on your team calling you out in public then so be it. I'm sure he's mentioned it enough within the room, and I'm sure they've all looked at each other and said they were gonna turn it around. This is not Miller whining, this is Miller STEPPING UP, finally!

Malkin did the same thing a few games back against the NYR. I believe it was on Del Zotto. Stiff check on Malkin. Malkin one handed tomahawk swing on the D-man to the head.
Ill see if I can find it. - ImThatGuy
Watch from 1:10 on. It was a joke. no fine or suspension. NOT EVEN A CALL.

I am with you 100% .
Not to mention I think it will help the team.IMO
Terry has to see the frustration of certain men on this team that want to win.
I'd like to see more of what Miller said and what Ott did in place of the usual cliche'd excuses.
good i hope that lights a fire in his belly. - joshs
I hope so. Mikhail looks like he's holding back or playing scared to make mistakes. I wish this entire team would stop playing a safe boring style of hockey and start moving up ice with authority.

So, I was doing a little research to compare Briere to Ennis, and technically, Ennis is ahead of the curve compared to where Briere was at the same age.
Briere spent most the season when he was 22 in the AHL. Ennis spent it on an NHL team and posted .71 ppg. Briere didn't make it to the NHL full time until he was 24. Ennis will have had 2 full years under his belt by then.
It's still really uncanny to me that they have the same birthday though. And were only drafted two spots apart in their respective draft years (Briere 1st round 24th pick, Ennis 1st round 26th pick).

Excellent take!
The man wants to win!
And some want to bash him for wanting to win it seems.
Not that any of us know for sure but I am sure inside that locker room he has been trying to hold players accountable. His frustration is clearly brimming and I for one find it refreshing to see a player that wants to win as badly as he does!!!!
And for those that say he should keep that in the locker room , I would bet Miller has and this has gotten to the point of frustration where names might be next during his interviews which I would applaud him for.
He is 32 years old. Miller sees time slipping away....

They're also not much different in size either. - HonkFortheGoose
Well done Goose. Those are some really weird conicidences. Good research!

He looks like hes not good enough yet to have a meaningful impact on an NHL game. Players here are too fast and physical for him IMO. I'm looking at this season as a throw away for him and want to see what he comes in looking like next year.

It's a good learning experience for him. Nicklas Backstrom spent his first year in Washington on the 4th line.

I wouldnt use throw away exaclty. I'd put it as. Get some exp in the big league. Learn from NHL guys and go into the offseason knowing what he has to work on. Come into next season better becasuse of it.
Do you think he hasn't already done that? My guess would be that approach has already been tried. And failed. He took it up to the next level, IMO. - HonkFortheGoose

Exactly, I just meant that the Sabres probably arent expecting too much from him at this point. Just to get experience and be better for it down the road.

Is that not the captains job though? - homiedclown
The captain shouldn't be the only guy holding people accountable, and I know you're smart enough to know that.
How is Pommer supposed to go into the locker room yesterday and say anything to anyone after the game he had? He can't. He can say, "I need to be better" but that's about it.
It would have been totally hypocritical of him to go in there and point fingers at everyone else knowing he had a poopty game himself. That's where the other leaders need to know to step in and say something, and IMO, Miller has always been one of the leaders here and he did just that.
