He is, still would love to have him

Honestly though, I would want a guy that can help pull a team out of the mess phase. He hasn't been able to do that.

Not that any of the guys we have have been able to either, but I'm just saying.

I do like Giroux though. This whole thing has just made me question whether he's as good as we all thought or if he's a pretty good player who has been a "product of the system" if you will.

Actually, it's a sliced achilles. Which is better than a torn achilles. It's an easier healing process actually.

We had a guy on the University Football team... completely tear his Achilles... i heard his scream from the sidelines.. the kid was in so much pain.. this was in november and he still has like 6 more months of therapy..

Toews would be the #1 guy I would want. I would kill to have him on my team.

I'm not a Dr or anything, but I know it's been said that a clean slice is easier to recover from than a tear.

apparantely completely tearing it, as opposed to only partially tearing (or slicing it), is way way worse, and involves completely different surgery and rehab.

when it's only partially torn, they simply sew it back up (in very simple terms)

when it's completely torn, they actually have to shorten the tendon, which lenghtens rehab time by a lot, and greatly increases the chances of a player never being "the same" again.

COME ON EILEEN!!!

you realize that you're talking about a player, who in the last 5 years, has won the hart trophy twice, the rocket richard trophy twice, the lester b pearson trophy 3 times, and the art ross.

the guy is only 27, it's not like his career is over.

if you honestly believe that he can be had for stafford and miller (not even considering the fact that you think the caps would throw in more assets), then i need whatever you're smoking, snorting, and injecting (all at the same time)

- sensarmy_11

I would not over pay then I guess.

**I don't inject.

Myers is not ready for that, he barely has enough strength to skate that Body around, no sense weighing him down with the C.

Ott would be good. Vanek is at least acting like one.

And Kaleta is playing like one.

Realistically Stafford gets moved and one "A" is now up. Who gets it? Ehrhoff, Ott, Kaleta, or Myers.

Wait who are we kidding!? IT would go to Hecht or Leo!!!

I guess you missed the first part of we all have our opinion s.Im not here to prove anything to anyone never have been.Im here as as a Sabre s fan and much more a hockey fan in general and just voicing my opinion no more no less and take others the same way.A few here think theyre experts or have way too much time on thier hands go to the effort of picking things apart or creating drama.Waste of time for everyone.

anyone know if the penalty kunitz got on Ott will be reviewed for further discipline?

it was clearly intent to injure...he slashed ott right over the head and knew what he was doing.

No because it was Steve Ott. Kunitz is a little dirt ball.

It probably should be. But, he plays for the Pens, so it probably won't be.

i guess we aren't used to having a captain for more than 15 games in a row and feel it will change mid season..
