Pretty tough to make legit comments then...but as a hab fan..can you play? Like most hab fans I know live off them tainted banners but can't play!!! Its sad and funny at the same time.

Wow u must live far from TO as compared to most of us. I'm up in Markham. I figured I was one of the further people on here who are Leaf fans.
- GCHonda

there are a lot of Leaf fans all over Canada especially Atlantic Canada.

Minnesota, Florida, Edmonton, Ottawa and St. Louis are the teams with the prospect depth that allow them to offer up highly attractive packages. You assume Colorado wants a guy who can play some D for them right now as well as an elite prospect. Florida certainly has the pieces. Gudbranson or Kulikov would get my attention if either were included in a package along with a prospect.
- spatso

not happening within the nw division. even though i like edm to acquire him, not happening in a trade. edm should just offer sheet him at $5m per over 5 or 6 yrs and trade current roster players to get back some picks from the offer sheet.

yandle for o'rielly makes sense. col needs a offensive d-man. i don't think phx will cough up more for o'rielly if they are giving up yandle. straight trade.

both teams are a little on the weak side..I'm not the GM...I just watch and cheer.

I wouldnt have many players off both teams on my own squad to weak on the puck or have zero heart etc etc..but I think the leafs have a better team at this time in life..but barely and neither of them are contenders for even a jock strap!!!

- Garnie

well sure i can agree with some aspects of that, but imo in the case where teams are close like this but still not good enough to be considered contenders i dont think its a homer pick to go with the team with the goalie who leads the league in wins....or with a real #1 goalie to be more speicific so in the end leafs fans can say blah blah blah markov, blah blah blah Price but thats just the thing, the leafs dont have a comparable to Markov or Price (yet)

so when you're looking at the playoff picture and both are in, if thats the case at the end of the year who does the rest of the league fear more in the playoffs? Habs or Leafs? (fear might not be the right word in either case though lol)

Bogo and Schiefele....that seems extreme
- Habitants98

Ya I thought so too. There may be other pieces to it but that's what I heard out of WPG. Avs asked about Kane but the Jets would rather part with Schiefele. Dunno why they would but...

maybe..Price hasn't won anything and Markov is better than any leaf D..but he's getting near the end and is a fragile bird..hopefully his knee stays intact. But I think teams would fear the leafs in the playoffs ( imagine ) The habs when pushed around pretty much roll up into a ball. IMO As I said both teams need a couple dippity do dandy trades ( steals ) to get them into any sort of a contender !

I wonder if back in the 70's, the 3 cheapest NHL owners from Tor, Chi & Bos, ever made their players ride the Partridge family bus? Cheap transporation but at least theere is free live entertainment.

You don't think those were beatdowns??? Hahahahahaha. He laughed at him, while he pounded his face in. AND he took it easy on him.

Yeah, Pacioretty jumping in, third man in, head lock from behind. What a pansy move. Grabovski is 1000 times tougher than that wimp. Chara takes a run at Grabovski, he gets up, scores overtime winner. Chara rubs out Pacioretty, out for a year. What a wussy.

that chara hit was the nastiest thing you've ever seen and you know it. Some guys wouldn't still be playing hockey.

Plekanec/Desharnais, take your pick of either undersized crap centre.
- prock

They're both great centres. They also have Galchenyuk who'll surely develop into a 1C. Nobody in TO's system will.
