Not sure bout top 5, but here's my top 3

1. Corey Perry ANA
2. Jarome Iginla CLG
3. Nathan Horton BOS

Some other good ones
Simon Gagne LA (health is a risk, but who wouldn't want Gags back at the right price?)
Michael Ryder DAL
Jaromir Jagr DAL, only if he is willing to limit himself to 60 or so games during the reg season
David Clarkson NJ
Patrik Elias NJ would be nice to see him score for us rather than against us for a change!!

Perry will be a tough sign if Anaheim lets him go the cost may be prohibitive, Iginla is a risk due to his age and the over 35 rule. I wouldnt be surprised if they go after Horton.

you have to be (frank)ing kidding me. that is a guy i never want to see in a flyers jersey. besides, if it were to happen, any talent that he has left would immediately shrivel up and die. we've seen it a million times. no thanks, especially from a life long devil.

^ agree. Totally.

Soooo you would rather have a 3rd line center with maybe 18 goal 25 assist potential (cooter) than a true #1 puck moving powerplay 25 minute a night playing dman ( yandle subban or the like. Even though we have Laughton coming up next year to do same job as cooter ( even if not as good but Close) sir that's crazy. Take the ddddddddddddddddddd mAn and as far as drafting defense we suck at that

The problem here is that you are way underselling Couturier's potential. And I'll repeat what has been said previously. Laughton in terms of potential, is not close to Couturier.

I think cooter projects to be a handzus or j Staal. I love that type of player.

Couts has 30 goal 40 assist potential, while being an elite, Selke candidate center.

The early comparison was a mix of Jordan and Eric Staal. Erics offense and Jordans defense.

I certainly hope he turns out to be a better the player then Michael Handzus. He was a nice player. But Couturier was the 8th overall pick.

Honestly, that's awful. Bryzgalov has several good seasons left. 32 isn't old. Brodeur backstopped the Devils to the SCF last year at age 40. Tim Thomas won the Conn Smythe at age 39. No reason to think Bryz can't be a good goalie for this team for at least the next two or three years.
- Jsaquella

Bryz is decent but he's only good when team d collapses and look at whAt happens. Surprise surprise we can't score. Are we minnesota? We have to open it up to score. And when that happens bam bryz can't make saves on 2 on 1 or breakaways. I mean look at him in sHootouts. I want a agile young goalie that can allow offense to attack. Bryz is not that. Look at the saves quick fleury price Rinne Make. Be honest if bryz made a save like that the world would end. Think of oilers in 80's. Offense!!!! And fuhr made that great saves. Yes he gAve up goals butMade the big athletic saves. Don't be fooled by bryz. Look at the routine saves he makes. In not impressed.

potential's a funny thing. Luc Robitaille was drafted by the Kings in the 9th round (171st overall) in '84. He ended up with 1394 points in 1431 regular season games, and 127 pts in 159 playoff games, with 1 Cup in 14 seasons. not bad for a guy who was supposedly a bad skater.

Bryzgalov has been very good this year. And the Goaltender has zero to do with the team's offensive issues.

there are the dudes that put up point/game+ year-to-year, then there are guys that, due to variance, range from 50-70 year-to-year. you'll see courturier in that latter group and given his defensive contributions, gives him #1 center value, imo.

Laughton is nowhere near close to the same thing and doesn't have as high a ceiling as Couturier.

I'd love to have Yandle or Subban, but there's no way I'd trade Couturier for Yandle and I'd have to think long and hard about trading him for Subban.

- Jsaquella

Think Pitt. Cindy malkin staal. Think Philly g schenn cooter. Cooter will alway be 3rd line center in Philly and he's no staal. What do think his ceiling is? If you agree with my 18 g 25 asst then you have to move him while his stock is high. As long as you max that trade. Scoring winger young goalie #1 dman.
