I wish we had Shea Weber. How fun would that be to watch. Now back to reality.

Homer traded our cornerstones to get younger. Great move. But fully committ. If we don't make playoffs this year was it worth it. Was it worth it watching nj destroy us last year. Fully Committ is what im looking for. Think of the teams we gave to beat to win a cup. Ie Pitt nj nyr chi van. We aren't close to those teams. Yeah on any given night we can beat them but to expect to go throUgh all those to a cup ain't happening
- SMS4016

Giving up on from core for unproven parts at unfavorable costs is the opposite of 'fully committing'. Why don't we watch this team play, see what's available, and as far as trades/free agents go strike when the iron is hot?

I wanted Schultz to land here but we missed out on him as well.

Can't buyout Pronger. He's injured. And despite all the conversation today. You still think Couturier is expendable because we have Laughton? What's dumb is buying out a Goalie who is playing at the top of his game, to get a young unproven player that isn't a guarantee of anything. You're acting like Bryzgalov is in net with a walker and is going to keel over at any time.
- MJL

Might be right about pronged thought I read with new CBa could buy out injured and historically goalies with high Potential stuck behind established starters thrive once traded. Hasek behind Balfour for example. So playing the odds. Odds wIth bryz basically 0. I honestly wouldn't have minded bryz when we had Ritchie and carts and gags. But this teams major talent is too young for 32 year old goalie. And don't use Thomas. It was freakish what he did and bryz no where as good as him and we don't have a chara in front of bryz

Did we really miss out on him when it seemed he had no intention of signing here in the first place?

Odds are Laviolette will keep the same lineup as today for Wednesday night in Pittsburgh, unless Hartnell and or Meszaros is ready.

I really like McGinn, I don't like seeing him being a healthy scratch, but it's hard to argue based on today's performance. Competition for ice time is a good thing.

I thought he had Philly listed as one of his teams but I could be wrong.

Their chances were slim though.

Um plummeted begging to trade weber but dummy homer didn't want to give up schenn or coots. Why? If Laughton makes team next year we will have at least 5 centers. Why?? Took Nashville a week to match that offer. Homer doesn't want to move them. I understand letting them grow but eventually we have to move some pieces to get what we need. And with buy outs we will have cap space.
- SMS4016

Laughton isn't close to Couts. Couts stoned Malkin in the playoffs last year as a young 20 year old kid. The Flyers management needs to show patience at this point. today was just a taste of what these youngs guys are going to be capable of in a few years when Bryz is still in his prime. Adding Perry would solve alot, but the D really needs to get healthy. Going to be tough to replace Timo though.

If the Flyers were indeed interested in a young goaltender, I would look to Ottawa. This Bishop monster is very impressive. They also have Robin Lehner as well. He's a big prospect. Would love to see the Flyers get their hands on one of these guys for the future.

Provide some quantitative evidence that the chance of winning the Cup is 0% with Bryzgalov? Chances are good that Bernier might be a very good NHL Goalie. I already know that Bryzgalov is a very good NHL Goalie.

I wish it was as easy as putting together a fantasy Hockey shopping list.

Do you think if we stay this course over the next 5 years or so (time before is washed up) we can get through the likes of bid Pitt ny chi van etc and win a cup? If not We should get rid of him trade if possible or buyout. Simple You answer can we win cup yes or no. If answer is no why the hell keep him and that contract???

Good question. I would assume Harry Z. He played well today. Laviolette praised him post game for his energy on the ice and in the room.

I think you are kidding. McGinn was one of the better Flyers on the ice in the game in Winnipeg.

to be honest, i'm having a tough time selling myself on the idea of wanting to keep knuble in the lineup. he is absurdly slow

I really like the way Z has played, McGinn too for that matter. I also like Wellwood so what do I know.

WTF.... There is a celebrity diving show? I just saw 7'2" 65 year old Kareem Abdul Jabaar doing a backflip off a high dive. What is this world coming to. I need Butsy here to make sense of this.

Like I said earlier today, I'm perfectly willing to trade players in the right moves. The moves you've suggested aren't it. Name for me a true #1 defenseman that we can trade Couturier for, and we'll talk. You've yet to provide who that player is. This isn't NHL 13.

Nashville wanted both Schenn and Couturier. You need 4 Centers in this League. And B Schenn can play the Wing like he did today.

- MJL

Coots and #1 for subban. Just an example. In 3 years subban going to Norris candidate. Bank on it. Schenn i believed centered briere and checky today. Schenn much better at center than wing

I wonder if Wellwood will get another chance this year.
