That's been the point all along go young and in a couple years we explode like Pitt and chi did. We have a lot of pieces already
- SMS4016

And Couturier is one of those pieces. You don't trade him unless it's the right deal.

Glad to hear he's playing well. Hard to tell on radio.
- Flyskippy

He looks confident out there
Also Lavi has him at the top of the umbrella on the 2nd PP unit.

Not Philly fans. I'm talking about the a$$es running the team
- SMS4016

I guess that explains why they made a mega offer to Suter. And then the same in an Offer Sheet to Shea Weber.

Pietrangelo is exactly the level of player that I would trade him for. Not many of them and rarely available.

Absolutely, that was a great hit. But you stated that Couturier doesn't hit.

But last year:

Giroux 77 Games played 70 hits
Couturier 77 Games played 82 hits

- MJL

Yeah rattle a stat. Watch a game. Coots always peeling off and different buildings rate hits differently. Ribbing a guy into boards isn't a hit to me. L schenn hits. G hits rinaldo hits coots does NOT hit

So Giroux and Couturier were playing in different buildings during those 77 games last year? A hit is a hit. And I clearly showed you that your statement that Couturier doesn't hit, is false.

Do the Flyers have a deal with Pitbull? Everytime they play his commerical is on like 10xs.
- stveshdy

Glad I'm not watching on tv today cuz that commercial is driving me insane! Even the wife who liked Pitbull has had enuff!

Dont worry MJL, stats only matter if they support his point. He speaks as if there are one set of people calling Giroux's "legitimate" hits, while there is another set of guy calling Couturiers "illegitimate" hits.

Therefore, two sets of criteria. Dont you get it?

Those facts are obviously excuses that make it hard to 'win' the argument.

Guys, I think this Read kid might turn into a good player. One day I could even see him leading this team in scoring...

Obviously not going to happen, but what would you have given, in excess of Couturier, for Weber?
I would have given Couturier, Voracek, and 2 1sts personally. Would any of you have given more/less?

He's nothing more than a "throw in" at best in a potential trade.

Go learn some hockey than come back here educated.

By the way, I saw a recent picture of you. You're getting gray.

So what you are saying is that only big hits count? Because that is what makes them memorable. Got it. Memorable = legitimate.

A guy who just scored 20+ goals at a cap hit of less than $1M for the next season is a luxury most teams would love.
