If this team (owner) was ever to wise up and bring in a new GM it should be Jim Nill. That man is the most deserving to run a team in this league and noone will find a better one. Wang needs to hire him and give him whatever it is he needs for the front office & down with true free range to run this franchise, hand him an amount of money a season to field a team... Stay outta that mans way and the Isles would be winners before anyone would know it.

Problem is, Comrade Kim is broke. I've been saying this for for a few days now. The proof will be when Capuano gets fired, and he is replaced by Weight or Thompson, and they make the stick boy an assistant coach. He has no more money for this, guaranteed- not one cent more than he needs to keep it afloat at this point. I'm guessing the real truth is that both he and the dope in New Jersey are "real estate moguls", which means, like Trump, they have their company name on 5,000 projects, and they're billionaires on paper, but they actually have no CASH, because they owe more money than they bring in.

I agree 100% with your point- until they MOST importantly bring a COACH in here who commands respect, and the consequence of the sh*t way they perform is the severe reduction of their ice time, they will be perpetual cr*p. The other night when we played the Rag$, Tortorella sat one of his star players, Brad Richards, for the ENTIRE third period. You play like sh*t, you don't play- doesn't matter what name is stitched on the back of your sweater, or whether or not there's a letter on the front of it.

I'd be willing to give Snow a little bit of rope (maybe a year or so) with enough money to (for one example) go out and get some quality for the rearguard; I think he deserves that after dealing with this situation. However, it's time to get rid of the minor league coach. It's been time.

Nah, they put forth a good effort. They just didn't execute well.

Al Arbour would have quit already.

This team wouldn't play like this if Al Arbour was the coach- Okposo, for one, would be in the seats. On this team, he doesn't even get demoted from his line, never mind riding the bench.

Moving Okposo to the third line?

How about to the press box, along with Streit and MacDonald? Seriously- I could just as easily have Niederreiter, Donovan and Ness not do anything when the opponent storms the net for a couple of games, if it makes the other guys in the locker room think twice about not showing up. My guess is the first two guys might play better than what we have here- they'd certainly play HARDER.

Bullsh*t. You have 23 roster spots and 20 players on the bench, which means you can sit three of them, every game. When a couple of guys wearing the letters start watching the games from the owner's box, players would at least get the message that SOMEONE is in charge here. Right now, the inmates run the asylum, and your answer is to jam your thumb up your own a** and say you can't do anything about it. F**k you....see ya....

Disgusting game yesterday. When we unable to score on a full 5 on 3 for 3 mins, I knew we were doomed.

Nabby looked tired once again. Prob is coach has zero confidence in his back up. Look at Montreal. Budaj came in and won two games while price was sick.

What happens if nabby goes down.

Btw, bringing nino in not going to hange outcome of 7-0 blowout. Nino can't even help spundtigers win who have dropped 3 straight including a blowout is their own.

Losing strait just made us even more vulnerable on back end. Dp in net tonight. So another loss for sure with his >4 gaa

You couldn't but you could blame the rest of the team in it's entirety. Does anyone think there is a connection with Visnovsky's arrival and their sudden downward spiral?

Burke is one of the best GM's out there - just a little controversial. Keenan is a no bullpoop coach, someone they need right now. This team needs accountability and what better guy to have?
- Mr.Black

Neither of those guys is taking the Isles job. Burke isn't going to work for a guy who knows nothing about hockey but demands input on hockey-related decisions. Keenan isn't going to work for a team that only uses the farm system and wavier wire to address roster needs. I would love to see Burke hired as President/Director of Hockey operations and let him re-tool the front office and bench, but that's not going to happen.

Tavares should be the captain of this team. I don't need to be in the locker room, i agree with you. The guy leads by example which is exactly what this team needs, time to change the environment and attitude in that locker room because whatver it is sucks.
- Cptmjl

Tavares wearing a "C" doesn't fix whats wrong with this organization. A "C" on JT's jersey doesn't eliminate the maddeningly inconsistent play and the constant lapses in intensity and judgment game in and game out. JT will be captain soon enough. But Streit as captain isn't what's holding this organization back. The change of envoronment and attitude must come from the top, the owner/GM/coach. That's what needs to change. Those three spots decide the direction and attitude of a team more than anyone else.
