You would have loved Butchie as a player. Constant motion. Never stopped moving. Scored goals, killed Penalties, played the PP. He was the piece that propelled the Isle to the next level.
Now, he's either a laugh a minute or has you crying. But I bet he has plenty of interesting stories about the old days.

Sooner would be better than later. But Garth does not possess quick reactions - physically or mentally. Streit should be stripped of his "C" and it should be given to JT. He's been a leader on every team he's played. Eff this crap of seniority/veteran BS. Streit, like Jagr doesn't have the edge or even a great grasp of the language. Hard to female dog out a team when you're English is barely understandable. But this is just one of MANY problems this team has. Bottom line, they have talent but no one is getting it out of them. What's the tee time for tomorrow? Anyone know?

They should have asked Clark Gillies to give the 2nd period intermission locker room speech.....knowing that he would be there waiting for them after the 3rd to see if they listened and responded. Jack has officially lost this team. Not that I'm all too sure he ever really HAD them. He looked clueless - not even pissed off - on the bench in the 3rd.

Fitting as Garth did not have quick reactions as a goalie either. It's painful listening to Steit. Same thing when Garth finally comes out of hiding and does his one interview. You have no clue what he is saying. It sounds like a hostage tape.

Tavares should be the captain of this team. I don't need to be in the locker room, i agree with you. The guy leads by example which is exactly what this team needs, time to change the environment and attitude in that locker room because whatver it is sucks.

Nah, don't think he ever did? These kids need a tounge lashing day in and day out until they leave it out there every night. they are a bunch of gutless pukes. Okposo makes me want to vomit. Boyes on a 5 on 3 putting three passes directly on the stick of a Devils player. THREE TIMES!!! His reaction? Didn't even look upset. Cptmjl I will not have you insulting our all world defensive Center Frans. Do you have any idea how many top players he has shutdown that has lead to huge wins for us?

I am sad I let everyone down not posting that after today's game. In the future, probably the near future, I will be sure to follow through with said music after a hilarious Islanders loss.

If this team (owner) was ever to wise up and bring in a new GM it should be Jim Nill. That man is the most deserving to run a team in this league and noone will find a better one. Wang needs to hire him and give him whatever it is he needs for the front office & down with true free range to run this franchise, hand him an amount of money a season to field a team... Stay outta that mans way and the Isles would be winners before anyone would know it.
There would be no need for excuses cause he wouldn't fail, players would sign here even in a crappy arena. Also I bet anything this team would become very profitable under him, Wang wouldn't have to cry about being in the red anymore.
