Jake has proved nothing, Kuli has not played well in 2 years...I'd do it..

Jake needs to be able to stay healthy, he has to prove that. He is hardly Justin Schltz. -1 in the AHL, and has not shown this big offensive side, why not, do the deal.

We'll see, expecting 1 week is rather optimistic. Seems some see "at least a week" and think he'll be ready in exactly a week.

I say go after ROR, he fits in with the leafs just fine...give up Gardiner for him and maybe Grabo if they would take him. If no Grabo then send another d-man if thats the need, maybe Liles, and a prospect?

not sure if COL accepts but with Grabo or Liles, it would free up the salary it would take to sign ROR....you're gonna have to over pay a little for this kid, i think he is worth it....

Not big on sending Bozak to COL, Bozak is a keeper in my mind. I would rather send Grabo and have Bozak and ROR as my 2 top centres....all for sending Gards though, he is expendible at this point and should fetch a decent value on return

Schultz's AHL stats come from playing with an NHL top line, against AHL competition.


He's not that much better than Gardiner. His NHL numbers will drop as the season goes on IMO.

The reason this works for us (Leafs) is O'Reilly takes over for Bozak and Morgan Reilly comes in next year to fill Gardiner's spot. Technically Morgan Reilly's season is over in about 3 weeks his Jr team is so far out of playoffs, he'll be able to play with the Marlies and come up to the big club if Leafs make playoffs.
It's a lot to give up but it works for Toronto plus Bozak is Unrestricted at year's end and the Aves could re-sign him considering the numbe rof friends he has in the Denver area. Plus he's besties with Paul Statsny

kid is good, but i think with Reilly has a stronger upside than Gardiner and i'm not sure Carlyle is high on Gards.
