Yeah and Luke Schenn gets a lot of hits also and when he was in Toronto, he once recorded 11 hits in a game he was in the pressbox for.
Kadri for O'Reilly would be a no brainer for the Leafs. - Aetherial
If you say so.

No way i would include Kadri in a trade for him...Kadri on pace for pretty much the same numbers as O'rielly( without the solid two way game)... - Fruitcakenipple
Uh? That makes no sense. |
|
|
|
Id probably trade Kadri for Orielly... Sorry guys. - Leafland
..I wouldn't....
Imo we are in better shape in terms of depth for young D-men...
Leafs shouldn't be moving young centers... |

Every time Schenn tripped over the blue line, which was often, he got credited with 2 hits.
The Leafs stats guys are notorious around the league for inflating stats.

My favourite was watching the Islanders, I felt they were jacking Matt Martin's hit stat. Sure enough I counted his hits (4) in the game, checked the NHL.com stats and there he was with a whopping 17 hits in 9 minutes of ice-time. |

How will this affect the Getzlaf and Perry acquisitions?

Yeah, I would love to play in a really deep fantasy league (hits, face-offs, blocked shots, giveaways/takeaways, etc), but those stats get way to subjective for my liking. |

You'd trade gardiner but not kadri? wtf - JIMI-JAMES
I have never said that I'd trade Gardiner for O'Reilly. Quite the opposite.
Gardiner for O'Reilly plus? Now you're talking. |

Well you said you would not trade the guy who might get the same numbers but without the solid 2-way game for a guy who did put up those numbers AND has the solid 2-way game.
If you said you think Kadri will be a number 1 center and put up much more points in his career, then I wouldn't agree... but I also would not bother to debate your opinion because it is no more or less valid than mine.

My league has hits and block shots. The reason why my team looks like freighttrain. Always pick three goalies in the first three rounds and draft only power forwards like Backes, Ruutu, Doan, Brown, Lucic and stuff. |

17 hits in 9 minutes!? They must have counted every instance of contact while jostling for position in front of the net! |

I've seen a good amount of him now that I'm living out west. Think Grabovski. A good centre who can play good D as well as reasonable offense. Unless he's gonna be a real late developer though then it's not worth selling the farm for him. - lumlums
for the love of...........late developer? he just turned 22 |

The thought is the upside for them is the same.
People should note that O'Reilly has already put up more points than Kadri has in a season. There is also no question that toughness and defensive responsibility are solidly in O'Reilly's favor.
Kadri may well get more points, but that is by no means certain. It is virtually 100% certain that the other factors will always favor O'Reilly. - Aetherial
WTF, where do people get this bit of information?
O'Reilly tough?
What convinced you of that? His average of 14 minutes in penalties a year????
People always claim Bozak is too soft, but I've never seen so many people who think O'Reilly is tough and gritty. He isn't.
He competes hard, but certainly doesn't carry the edge and snarl like Gilmour had.
|
|
|
|
Why do people on here want O'Reilly so badly? he's another 2nd line center. The Leafs already have plenty of those. |
