I'm not a strong believer in the "untouchable" thing but i would value Kadri as close to it as anyone on the leafs at this point..

Different types of players, but you're right they could both be equally as valuable in the future.

Gunner who was probably our 2nd best Dman last year, and our most constant doesn't belong on this team because an older, lesser player played well in 15 games.

It's hard to defend Leaf fans as not over rating their players when stuff like this comes up.

I'm just scared he turns into Stephen Weiss, still wouldn't give up Gardiner or Kadri in a deal for him, but I guess we'll see what happens. Likely will be traded somewhere else anyways.

People should note that O'Reilly has already put up more points than Kadri has in a season. There is also no question that toughness and defensive responsibility are solidly in O'Reilly's favor.

Kadri may well get more points, but that is by no means certain. It is virtually 100% certain that the other factors will always favor O'Reilly.

No way i would include Kadri in a trade for him...Kadri on pace for pretty much the same numbers as O'rielly( without the solid two way game)..

I think we're assuming it'll take 5 to get ROR. The rumour was he turned down 5 yrs and 17 and in turn asked for about 5. Negotiation ...suggests to me it'll take about 4 to get him locked in for 4 or 5 years. He won't get Benn or Kane dollars (5.25) so it'll be something less than that.

Yeah and Luke Schenn gets a lot of hits also and when he was in Toronto, he once recorded 11 hits in a game he was in the pressbox for.

Kadri for O'Reilly would be a no brainer for the Leafs.
