Never said untouchable, sure i'd trade him in a package for a legit #1 Centre, but that's not happening. Trading him for Ryan O'reilly doesn't make much sense to me, considering there is already a log-jam of the same kind of Centre's in Toronto already. Gardiner has elite skill on the back end, is a great skater and can move the puck with ease. You don't disregard a 22 year old defenseman coming off a really good rookie season just because he's not living up to expectations in his 2nd year. Leafs fans go nuts after one loss or if a guy has a few bad games, take a breathe...the kid is 22 years old and by all accounts is going to be a very very good NHL defenseman. |

Same guys saying to trade Gardiner were probably the same guys that were all for the Tukka Rask trade, since Toronto needed a goalie badly RIGHT THEN AND THERE. People are over-valuing Ryan O'Reilly. |

This the whole debate isn't it??....I think some fans figure the Leafs would be set with O'Rielly/Grabs/Kadri as our 3 centers going forward...
