I seriously think you are undervaluing O'Reilly's potential.
- Falon

O'Reilly is an awesome 2nd line quality center - even though he would be our best do we really want to pay that much money for another 2nd line center?

I thought Gardiner is a god amongst men. Surely you meant O'Reilly, Landeskog, and Duschene for him right?

1st line, second line center, he's still better then what we have on our top 2 lines. He's a Carlyle type player and brings more then points to the table. His intangibles are hard forcheck, good defense, and grit. Who on the Leafs, at center, can provide this? Teams with size and grit, up the middle, wins championships. Our current centers don't fit the bill. Time to roll the dice on this guy.

I like O'Reilly, but I don't want to give up too much. Definitely not Morgan O'reilly or Gardiner. Give'em Grabo and Blacker or Percy, and throw in Liles or one of our other roster depth Dmen like Franson. If we don't get him, don't give up on Colborne cracking this club in a year or two. He'll be a late bloomer, and I think he's gonna pan out. We need to be patient with our prospects.

He was 2 hours ago. The Leafs traded him shortly after for Cole and Kaberle.

size and grit?????
wtf?
O'Reilly is 6 foot, less than 200 lbs, and plays like he's half that size...no grit whatsoever. I wouldn't be surprised if he won a lady byng he is so damn sportmanlike.
You are right, we need size and grit up the middle and a bonifide number one....and O'Reilly certainly is not that.
Kadri has more grit, equal offensive potential and is slowly learning the defensive side of the game. He can fill the 2nd line role AND we get to keep Gardiner and Rielly.

O'Reilly has scored 50 points once in his career and has had just as many points as Bozak in the other years he has played in the NHL and he is just a little worse in the faceoff circle than Bozak.

How is exactly is that better? Sure he is 24 but that doesn't mean he is a number 1 center because obviously if he is a number 1 center 2 things would have happened by now this season.

1. Colorado would have signed him to the contract he wants

2. A team would have already paid the ransom the Avs want to trade him.

The resemblence between Steve Simmons and the guy who played Alex in the old Degrassi High shows is not only uncanny, its hilarious as well.

The kid turned 22 last week. Keep it up!
He got 55 pts at 21, at the same age Bozak was playing for the Victoria Grizzlies...

Agree.

Dion Kostka
Franson Holzer
Gardiner Gunnarsson
Liles

If we can get away with giving Gunnarsson as much time as possible for his hip to get back together then take it.

We need Jakes speed as Liles has dissapointed so far

- AngryWhiteMale

So your saying you want to sit the Dman who is plus 11 in 12 games?

Lol I can live with the fact that his passes miss his target by about 10 feet if he continues to dominate the D zone the way he has
