Nor is trading 2 much 2 the avs - The_Vark
I think many view it as when opportunity knocks u pretty much have to take a chance and go for it ....
If the Leafs had a young center in the system with potential than sure u ignore it but sadly we dont..
It's gonna be trade or FA....FA hasn't been working for the Leafs..
U notice that the Rangers are after him..No way a kid like that comes on the market and Sather doesn't try to land him...
At this point chances are the Rangers will give in and land the kid... |

I'd rather keep bozak and trade Garbo
Kadri 2nd line
Bozak 3rd line
And go out and get the 1 liner ... Ufa or trade - The_Vark
While I agree that is much easier said than done. |

Leafs should win tonight, but they've had problems against Florida in the past few years. It's nice to see Florida back to where they should be, I said before the season started that they'd be back in the cellar in that division, and yep there they are. I couldn't even figure out how they made the playoffs last year with the players they had, it was mind boggling really. It gives me hope that the Leafs can do it too, but not getting my hopes too high. |

Grabo always starts out slow, he also gets on streaks. Its no different than Gardiner, when they're going noone wants to move them. The second they're not performing everyones clamouring to move them.
Jesus, I've become the status quo guy lmao. Apologies if I'm annoying, but I just don't see a need to do anything with this team right now. The only thing I want gone is the useless cap hits, and the guys that are definitely not in the plans. ie. Komisarek/Connolly.
Out of the AHL call-ups on d, I think Fraser's the only one that will stick the whole season. Holzer always looks shaky, insert Gunnarson and Gardiner can do a better job than Kostka. |

What's that have to do with a buy-out? Doing a Buy-out shows weakness in the orgaznization more than anything. Even if they bought out the contract, fact would remain that they GAVE Grabo that deal, Kessel isn't going to magically forget about it. Grabo has been horrible this year, was never a fan of the contract he signed, but I still would give him more than 15 games to try and earn a 5 year deal. |

ya standings wise we should be aiming to win 5 of the next 5 games... obviously that wont happen because buffalo is 1 of them and the leafs never meet expectations but if we want to seriously make a run at playoffs this is a run of games we need to go 3-1-1 or 4-1 in |

Even the next 7 are all winnable games. Will they win them all? Of course not, but if they went 5-2 in that stretch, it'd be huge for them. |

I really can't pick up your poopty sarcasm anymore. I'm getting weak. 8 pts so far...not too bad. - weirdoh
It wasnt sarcasm. Hedman is starting to look dominant. True all around defender. Poster child for being patient with the development of defenders. |

The tools have been there since he was 18 and first in the NHL. Now that guys like Salo are there to take the pressure off, he's settling in and starting to show those tools. I've never seen a guy his size glide on the ice the way he does. Now he's going to the right spots to make use of his natural gifts. |

see my edit, and it was Burke who gave him the contract and there is no way that Grabo should earn more than Kessel. he has to go. one way or another |

I think if the Leafs sign Getzlaf this summer than Grabbo should be bought out. No way the Leafs can afford to keep all the contracts of Grabbo, Phanuef, & new deals for Kessel & Getzlaf. The smart thing to do is to buy out Grabbo's $5.5 per cap hit & put the cheaper Bozak as the 2nd line center. This is only if the Leafs can land Getz. |

If you trade for or sign a proven #1 center who has a big contract, this would make sense.
