It's a shame the refs can't just call a better game. The make up stuff is crap especially when they miss the obvious stuff.

Another thing I hate is how the rules change in the playoffs, you don't see that happening in the NBA or NFL. You can get away with more inteference and holding, it's ridiculous. At least it's better than before when Scott Hannan was called a great shutdown d-man for basically mugging Peter Forsberg on the ice almost every shift during Sharks-Avs playoff series pre-lockout.

Wow, how pathetic. Kesler dives into the boards and they call a penalty on Pietrangelo.

Yeah, the was classic over-passing. Gotta respect Polak for that and he's back out there again as well.

Yeah I never completely got that. But the year your team played Boston they were actually calling everything until the finals. That I think was a crock of crap. No time to prepare and bam. Now Boston has a really good team. Then they were too slow and really shouldn't have had a chance.

CHicago and Detroit are the darlings of the NHL and will almost always get the benefit of the doubt.

You don't get hit on the side and end up face first in the boards when you aren't playing like the little diver everyone knows Kesler is. Pretty obviously ever since canucks were leaving their feet to hit McDonald in the head in the first period.

Some goaltender interference to get that goal.

Good calls and then they miss one on the Canucks. And that non icing really?

When you don't have any logical response, point out random information to distract from that fact.

Yeah he was turning from the play there a bit but because of where he was they will call it every time and you have to say it is the right call.

But there are two missed calls against the Canucks that little bump caused Allen to have his skate turned the wrong way so he couldn't recover.

Actually, if the player turns at the last second the correct call is no call, according to the NHL rule book. If the player turns AFTER getting hit, it's definitely no call.

I understand the rules but that is a fact of life and the speed of the game. You want that call there for the players' protection.

What a save by Allen!

WHAT A SAVE!!!

It also doesn't say that because you are in over time penalties aren't called. But you rarely see them despite.

No, you really don't. It's on the players to protect themselves in certain situations. Like as you are getting hit, you don't turn to go face first in the boards in hope of getting a call.

Maybe the Blues have a true number one in the making! Because that is one of three ingredients we are missing. Though are centers are good enough to over come not having a number one.

But Kessler didn't do that. It's only his second game in a long time. That was rust.

Kesler didn't do it, or him doing it was rust? Which was it?

Nice job in the shootout, though that second save seemed like it was lucky. Also, surprised Steen was scheduled to be the third shooter instead of Perron, or Tarasenko, or Stewart.

A WINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOO HOOO!!!

That's two points owed to Allen. The kid won that game.

That second one though had him beat just missed the five hole.

Kessler is a turd. What an embarrassment to Americans with the is the ice okay crap trying to get to the rookie.

FYI Blues were my pre-season pick to go to the Cup in the West.

ALlow me to correct my syntax so that you can comprehend my intended meaning. He didn't turn into the boards when he got hit to draw a penalty. He put himself in that bad position most likely due to rust. Otherwise he's going to need another surgery trying that crap. His wrist got messed up because of a couple nasty slashes.

He's a good player but he does have a tendency to dive and be dramatic.

I don't know.

As long as they make the play offs and by then fix some of the holes in their game. Of course Chicago would actually have to lose in regulation some day.

Vancouver is still a very good team. Kassian playing better; add Schroeder and a healthy Kessler and they have some good depth.
