Yup, what I noticed before the season was about to start was that the media and non-Oilers fans that aren't as familiar with the team actually had higher expectations(anywhere between 6th-8th) than Oilers fans.

All of the # 1's and Schultz made them think that. The fact is they have to get bigger and improve the D big time before they can be a threat. I remember watching last years playoffs thinking the Oilers would get killed if they made it, they have yet to address it.

Beauchemin and Souray lead the league in +/- but other than that they're terrible.

Wow, one win over an injury-ravaged team and you extrapolate that into being Cup champs. The shroom crop must be EPIC in Edmonton this season.
